Description: Hotel Doolin's Fitzpartick's Bar, famous for it's traditional Irish music, lively sessions, thirst quenching pints and wholesome food is popular with both residents and locals alike. Fitzpatrick's Bar is as much a part of the vibrant experience of Doolin as it is of the hotel itself. With its polished panelling, natural stone and open fire it offers a calm and relaxed setting during the day while at night it transforms into a lively bar with entertainment. The Bar is split into two sections. Fitz's Snug is our cosy front bar with an open fire, ideal for relaxing with a cool pint whilst listening to our live Trad sessions. The much larger back bar is perfect for parties and live bands. There are a number of local and Irish beers available in Fitzpatrick's Bar including:•Eight Degree - Sunburnt Irish Red•Eight Degree - Knockmealdown porter•Eight Degree - Howling Gale Ale•Galway Hooker•Helvick Gold blonde Ale•Blackrock Irish Stout•Copper Coast Red Ale

Had drinks and dinner here. Had to wait longer than the 20 minutes promised but the music and drinks were wonderful so time passed quickly. Robbie was our waiter and he was just terrific. Had good suggestions for us and made us feel pampered. There were 7 of us and the food was excellent and prices were reasonable.

After a day on Inisheer and a boat trip around the Cliffs of Moher, the food and friendly staff in Fitzpatricks topped our day. They catered for every taste bud and in particular the kids. There was live music in the bar\lounge. Would definitely recommend

We went for the lunch buffet on a Monday. The food had obviously sat out for a while as it was being kept warm and already drying out.
My pasta was overcooked and the sauce dried out. I had crusty bits from the heat below that kept the pasta warm and the air above that dried it out.
Hubby's chicken was just ad crusty.
The side vegetables were also overcooked and very soggy. Could not even identify the orange on our plates by sight: carrot or pumpkin?
There was no music.
As we wondered out loud how the place could exist, a tourist bus arrived and a long line snaked through the restaurant and we were dealing with backpacks and cameras bumping us in the head while people ogled and commented on our food.
Hubby asked for a local beer recommendation to accompany his lunch.
The recommended beer keg was empty and needed refilling. Bar tender said he would bring it over to our table once it was ready. It never arrived. When hubby went to enquire his beer was sitting ready at the counter. When he finally got to drink long awaited beer it turned out to be a cider.
I guess tour busses will keep the money flowing in, but from our experience it was not the quality.

SInce I know Doolin since decades I know tht this is a new place but when you are inside you feel like in a old barn where food is served. A very ncie atmosphere we liked a lot. First we thought it is just one of the tourist places just big and nothing special, but we were so happy that we had our dinner 2 evenings in a row. First we had a platter for 2 , meats and shrimps mixed grill. It was very delicious. The second time mussels. Also all very delicious. I like the places a lot where you dont expect great food but you get it.

We ate a few meals at Fitzpatrick's Bar. We especially enjoyed the noontime buffet selection and the totally "obscene" desserts! The staff was very accommodating and cheerful! The decor was lovely and all was very clean.
