We enjoyed our stay at Killilagh. It is not a flash place but you certainly get value for money. It is a bit like staying with a favourite aunt.Brid worked hard to make sure we enjoyed our stay. She offered to turn on the heater as soon as we sat in the lounge area which had the most comfortable chairs. She aslo provided a very generous breakfast. Loved the homemade bread. Best of all it is just across the road from McDermott's which had fantastic music.

Killilagh House was in a good location. It is right across the street from a pub that plays live music. The breakfast was very good there also. It is close to things like Cliffs of Moehr. Rooms were clean. Shower was a little tiny but it served its purpose. Brid Shannon was great. I emailed her questions about the room and directions and she always responded back to me. I would definitley stay here again.

My boyfriend and I traveled to Ireland for Spring Break this past year and one of the places we had the pleasure of staying was here at the Killilagh House. We had such a great experience! It was raining when we first arrived, so it was nice to walk in and find a nice warm fire burning in the cozy front room. The house is located right down the street from a few bars too, which made for nice entertainment for the night within walking distance. And don't even get me started on the breakfast. Literally the best breakfast I've had in ages, it was sooooo good! Friendly people, comfortable accommodations, amazing food, I would recommend this place to anyone!

We stayed 2 nights at Killilagh House. Brid and Michael were kind hosts. It was raining when we got to their home, and there was a lovely pellet fire waiting us. Rooms were very comfortable and breakfast was soooo good. Location is very convenient to the pubs for food and drink.

Had a great 3 night stay at Killilagh B & B. The hostess was v friendly & approachable. The room was comfortable, the shower more powerful than the one I have at home, the breakfast delicious. My boyfriend really enjoyed the homemade yoghurt bread!! Our location was perfect too. We were near to McDermott's & McGann's pubs as well as Roadford House Restaurant, all of which I would recommend checking out. We were about a mile from O'Connor's pub too. Doolin Village is kinda split up. We reckon we stayed on the best end, near the coolest pubs for trad music and within easy walking distance of the rest of the village (including the chocolate & fudge shop-worth checking out if you have a sweet tooth!). Thank you to Killilagh B&B for our wonderful stay.

I recommend this B&B to anyone staying in Doolin. The location is excellent. There are 2 pubs within 20seconds walking distance (McDermotts & McGanns) both serving full menu's with excellent food, and a restaurant next door to McGanns (The Riverside Bistro) which I can't recommend enough. When you walk in the door of the B&B, there is a cosy front porch then further on a very comfortable and well laid out lounge area in front of a warm fire, and the lounge area also has WIFI which i had no problems connecting to. The rooms are spacious enough and all have hair dryers, TV and tea/ coffee/ kettle facilities. There is also plenty of wardrobe/ storage space and plenty of towels supplied in the bathrooms which can be changed daily when requested. The bathrooms are very clean and the showers are good and strong and have plenty of hot water. Three of us stayed in a room and all had showers daily and washed hair etc and never had problems with hot water running out. There is plenty of parking space outside and there is no problems with outside noise or sleeping at night. The breakfast is served to you and consists of cereal/ porridge, home made brown bread, full irish breakfast options, or any variance on it, French toast/ omlette also available and fresh scones. You'll be fed to the hilt and nothing is any trouble. Its difficult to find anything wrong with this B&B. Only thing i'd say to remember to try both sides of the Shower tap - as some rooms have the hot/ cold reversed. I was very happy with this B&B and I would definitely stay again. Thanks Brid/ Michael.

In mid-May of this year, my husband and I brought a close family friend with us to stay three nights in Doolin. We chose our favorite B&B in Ireland -- Killilagh House, owned and hosted by Brid and Miceal Shannon. Our triple room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. There was plenty of hot water for showers each morning. Though we were on the front side of the house, it was quiet. Ample parking is available in front of the house. Beautiful flowers were blooming in the front and side gardens. The common room has a stove/fireplace that was lighted each day when the air became chilly. Guests often take advantage of this additional cozy space. WiFi is an added bonus.

Brid's breakfasts are the finest in all of Ireland. The fresh fruit and specially prepared yogurt are fresh and of very good quality. There is home made porridge, a variety of cereals, and juice. A full Irish breakfast is available, just one of many hot choices. French toast, all kinds of eggs, bacon, kippers, and many other possibilities are offered. And a highlight are the many freshly baked breads and cakes. Brid shares the recipes. From our three visits, I now have 4 or 5 delicous breads to make back in the States. Brid is warm and gracious, just a perfect host. Miceal is a grand source of Doolin history and information about the Burren area. He is also a talented wood carver. In May, he showed us some of his products made from Bog wood -- very interesting and handsome pieces of art.

We recommend Brid and Miceal's Killilagh House to anyone who is traveling in the Burren area of Ireland. Your visit with them will be the best!
