We stayed one night here after seeing the Cliffs of Moher, arriving late in the day so not much contact with the hostess. But there was a very warm welcome and the room was very nice, loved the fact that there was tea service in the room. Excellent breakfast. More modernized than other B & B's that we stayed at, but still very nicely done.

We spent only one afternoon and night at the Harbourview, but it was very memorable. We were offered fresh baked apple pie shortly after our arrival making us feel at home after a long drive from Dublin. Cathy gave us great information about Doolin and helped verify the lodging at our next destination. The room was fine with a great view and breakfast was terrific. Cathy and her family were all wonderful and made a fine Irish impression on us.

We stayed here for one night after our visit to the Cliffs of Moher, which are about a ten minute drive. We had a large room with a beautiful view overlooking the hillside down to the Atlantic. Cathy was very nice and helped us book a B&B for our next night's stay in Galway. Her husband, Jonathan, also recommended a pub in town for traditional Irish music - that was more "local" than one we had planned on going to. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it!

Room Tip: Arrive early for a room with a view

we loved that the Harbour View was so close to the ferries and the pubs in town. It is located at the top of a hill so you will need to have a car but really you need a car to be traveling around the small towns of western Ireland anyway. The couple running the place were very nice and serve a good breakfast in the morning with a few good options. We found this recommendation from Rick Steves and it did not disappoint. It wasn't a fancy hotel by any means but it was very clean and comfortable and a great base camp for our exploration of Doolin and the Aran Islands.

Our party of 4 staying 2 nights were welcomed at the door by 5 year old Michael who opened the door for us and welcomed us to his home. Mom Cathy was right behind him inviting us in to a nice warm fire as well as coffee and some biscuits. Cathy gave us some great tips for dinner, as well as ideas on what to see in the area that are not part of the tourist bus stops. This B&B is minutes from the Cliffs of Moher and within a half hour of The Burren and some spectacular scenery along the coast. The views from our room overlooked the town and harbour. Cathy kept the fire going for us in the evening when we returned from dinner and allowed us to use the dinning area for an evening of card playing.
On leaving Michael once again was the doorman for us. Our thanks for a great stay.
