This is how it should be! Perfect location, excellant hosts, and pristine rooms.
Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts and I have no hesitation in staying there again.

Room was reserved well in advance and confirmed a week before our trip. Upon arrival we were hastily greeted and asked to wait in the foyer while the young man sorted through details. Finally, we were shown to Room 14 where the incessant noise of the hot water heater directly over the bed ran for over thirty minutes. We informed the host and was told there was nothing he could do. He offered no solutions or reccomendations for alternative accomodations. This host was generally apathetic! After several weeks of travel across Ireland, we found the host response, demeanor, and lack of hospitality most dissapointing. Quite the opposite from what we found in Cullinan's Guesthouse later that evening.

Can not say enough about the kindness of Joan and Pat. Not only is their B& B super clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated but they are super kind people. We arrived their after our flight exhausted. She was able to get us into our room early which was very much appreciated. Then our car battery died. Pat drove us to O'Connor's pub and Joan called the rental company for us and handled the situation. What wonderful kind people. The breakfast was awesome - Location was great. I would highly recommend this B & B. When we go back to Doolin that is where we will be staying.

  • Liked — The kindness of the owners, clean large spacious room, great breakfast.

We found O'Connors Guest House to be absolutely wonderful. It is very close to everything, spotlessly clean, great food, and one of the best places we stayed during our six weeks of traveling. We had one of two rooms equipped for visitors with physical handicaps. We loved the room so much that when we got home, we renovated our en suite bathroom to be very similar to our room at O'Connors. I think that is a very high compliment to Joan and her guest house. I would stay there again and would rec commend it to anyone of any age group. Thanks Joan. The Peterson's, Canada

O'Connor's Farm House in Doolin, County Clare, Ireland is an excellent place to stay while touring the Cliffs of Moher/Burren area.

Joan O'Connor, the Inn Keeper keeps a very clean and organized B&B. The rooms are spacious, spotless with updated in-suite baths.

From O'Connor's, you can walk to the three different pubs in Doolin, famous for traditional Irish music. You can also walk to the Doolin Ferries for a trip to the Aran Islands, walk to the Cliffs of Moher or take in the Doolin Cave.

I have visited Ireland many times, and O'Connors is great for authentic Irish hospitality.

The O'Connors farmhouse is perfect for Doolin. The rooms are huge, clean, new and the bed is better than in many ***** star hotels. The service was impeccable and we liked the location. The centre of Doolin is just a hundred meters away so going for dinner or a pint is very very easy.

For the night we wandered off to the pub that is perhaps a kilometer towards the Cliffs of Moher. There we were blown away by the music. They have live local music that truly rounds out your experience. The music was not electrically amplified, nor was there any cigarette smoke, even the beers were priced reasonably. Even if you normally avoid going to listen to live music, this would be a great time to make an exception.

From cliffs of Moher we took the path to the tip of the cliffs, beyond the 'no trespassing signs.' The path is gorgeous, and safe for a healthy adult. We would not take kids or elderly along the path and even for a healthy individual, you really, really must watch your step, as there is no railing between the path and the 200 meter drop to down the cliffs.

I've been to Ireland on 5 different occasions and stayed 2 weeks each time. I've always stayed in B&B's. This was by far the best B&B I've stayed in. It has a beautiful ocean view and a great location near 2 singing pubs. Joe
