“Great food and a great time!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 November 2013

We went for dinner-they had a great variety on the menu, even great vegetarian choices. Food was really good-staff warm and friendly. After we ate, we went to the bar area and listened to some of the local music. Had a great time!

“Best place for lunch, dinner and a session after a visit to the Cliffs of Moher”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2013

8 of us visited the Cliffs of Moher on a stormy, windy, wet October Bank Holiday weekend. All of that fresh air really built up an appetite so we headed to Doolin for a late lunch. It didn't disappoint.

We all had different items on the menu - Guinness Stew, Mussels, Bacon & Cabbage, Chowder, Baked Salmon, Crab cakes and everything tasted fantastic, especially with a pint in hand listening to the trad session going on in the background.

When the live traditional music wasn't playing, locals started storytelling. I felt like I was an extra on the set of a film made about Ireland by Americans but I loved every minute of it! Kind of like that episode of Murder She Wrote which was filmed in Ireland!!

Half of the pub were tourists and half were locals and the mix made for a perfect atmosphere. If I am ever in the area again, this place will be top of my list for some good food and a trad session.

“Great for Food And Music!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2013

We were in Doolin because we had heard that this is a great town for music. After we settled into our overnight accommodations we wandered down the street to O'Connor's. It took us a little time before we realized that we had to got to the bar to order food. But once we ordered, the food came pretty quickly. I couldn't resist another evening of lamb so I ordered one of the night's specials--roast lamb. It was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the music but had to settle for sight unseen since the music was in the other part of the pub where there was no seating available until later in the evening (even on a Wed evening in September!).

“Great spot for late lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2013

We didn't make it back for the music, but had a terrific late lunch after our trip to the Aran Islands. Fish and chips were excellent. Pub food can be hit or miss and O'Connors was definitely a hit.

“Classic Irish Pub”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2013

The food is good but go here for the music and Irish step dancing. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at O'Connors and recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a classic Irish pub.
