“C Q C - Clean, Quiet & Comfortable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 April 2013

I have stayed in this Premier Inn a few times before (see my previous reports) and for a 'budget' hotel it takes some beating. It is not perfect but it is pretty good. No wonder Premier Inns have won so many awards!

Although I had booked for three nights on the Internet some weeks previously, it was Craig who helpfully arranged our room on check in. It was spacious, clean, comfortable but most of all it was quiet. So thank you again Craig. Noise has been an issue for us at this hotel in times past but not recently. Steps have been taken to reduce the noise from the roads outside by the fitting of new double-glazed windows etc.

Of course it is somewhat harder to reduce the noise from other guests in the corridors in the early hours of the morning. We did not suffer this on this visit but there were guests we met who were disturbed at 03:00 on Sunday morning by guests who were a 'little worse for wear'. I really do not know what can be done to prevent this particular problem. It is symptomatic of our times that people show little or no thought for others! Maybe people should be reminded on check in? So maybe when you next stay in a hotel you will be considerate of others who may be sleeping!

We ate in the adjacent Table-Table restaurant for dinners and breakfasts. Absolutely no complaints. The food was good, prices average and the service was efficient and friendly, so well done to the staff.

We will certainly be staying here again.

Room Tip: Ask to be away from other 'groups' of guests. It is less likely that you will be disturbed a...

This was the second time I'd stayed at this premier inn so I knew exactly where it was and also that it was next to a busy road. I have never been bothered by road noise on either occasion, this time my room overlooked the car park and last time my room was next to the road.
The room was clean and comfortable, just as Id expect at a PI. The only criticism was that the light in the room from both the ceiling light and the window were very poor BUT that was obviously because I had an 'end of corridor' room, which was absolutely huge, so I can forgive them for the poor light.
We attended a fancy dress party so went for a wander around the restaurant next door to give the kids a giggle. Didn't try the food but it can't have been too bad as it was packed. Drinks were over priced.
I'll definitely use this PI again :-)

The hotel reception staff were efficient and helpful. The room was clean and well decorated with a comfortable bed. The accommodation was good value....However the attached restaurant contrasted badly with the good standard set by the hotel. Waiting staff appeared to be conducting a go slow, the kitchen managed to serve a plate of cold fish and chips on a cold damp plate and a half raw egg on an overcooked gammon steak. Foolishly, after suffering an embarrassingly poor evening meal, we returned for breakfast. After waiting 30 minutes for a cooked breakfast, I was served a stone cold plate with a splodge of baked beans topped with a congealed crust on them, this was returned as not being fit to eat. There then followed a wait of 20 minutes with no sign of a replacement. We asked for a refund and left hungry. A formal complaint through the Premier web site received no reply. It is a shame that the good efforts of the Hotel staff are overshadowed by the poor operation of the restaurant.

Pleasant overnight stay on a Friday evening. We have 3 daughters so had to have 2 rooms which were accross and down from each other. Suggest families with more than 2 children should be adjacent, ideally with connecting door. (worth checking) We were told rooms were opposite , they werent.
Despite this minor niggle rooms were spacious, clean and tidy, ample parking, wi-fi free for certain amount of time. Short drive into town to nearby eateries etc. We didnt use the restaurant, suggest better value elsewhere rather than eat there. ( meals up to around £10) We actually ate at Frankie & Bennys in Lincoln. We did have our breakfast there, nicely cooked, lots of variety including yoghurts, fruit, cereals etc. Slight annoyance at lady whom was stressed, she tried to suggest we had already been through for breakfast we obviously hadnt because they just use a room number as validation and we had 2 rooms. The girls enjoyed their overnight there, and yes would use the place again should need arise.

Room Tip: Ideally ask for rooms furthest away from main road, deep into hotel, larger families ensure rooms ar...

Stayed two nights at this hotel and found it very clean and comfortable. Considering it's close to a busy road it was very quiet. We did eat in the table table restaurant and we found it very good our waiter was very good looked after us very well, top marks! We had breakfast in the restaurant. The only criticism we have on the last morning a party of men arrived for a meeting and helped themselves to tea's coffee's toast etc on the way through, demolished everything so had to wait for the staff to replemish. Only one member of staff on this morning too! On the whole we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to looking stay in this area.

Room Tip: Suggest a room at the back overlooking the fields, very quiet!

We usually stay here at a weekend (Friday to Sunday) but on this occasion it was a Thursday to Saturday. As always, everything was excellent! The rooms are clean, well decorated and airy - certainly not cramped like some places. It was quiet, and we were not disturbed by noise from any of the other Guests. The staff are friendly and helpful, particularly at Reception. We did not use the attached TableTable Restaurant so we are unable to comment. The only slight criticism is that the toilet paper is quite thin (we took our own as a precaution), but this is a 'Budget' Hotel after all and we have experienced far worse! This Premier Inn is to be recommended.

Room Tip: The rooms away from the road are much quieter (even numbered on the Ground Floor).

Hotel was ok - clean, comfortable and plenty of hot water. Wi-Fi went down and couldn't be fixed as it was the weekend. Attached restaurant was appalling. Not enough staff at breakfast, long queue time and then no food or drink stocked on tables. We walked out after having pre-paid and got a refund. Staff rushed off their feet and treated us like cattle. Gave better service to the 'walk ins' not staying at the hotel. We ended up going to a garden centre in Horncastle - Redwoods where we had a great breakfast at a good price without the hassle. Would go back to Premier Inn but avoid the restaurant.
