I and my husband stayed here for 3 days in April, and absolutely loved every bit of the stay. First off, we booked the Villa Kruing, but were upgraded to Villa Okep by the Management without us asking for it, as we were the only guests around that time. The views from the villa were stunning. The villa was very tastefully done, with a wonderful living area and a very nice collection of music. We loved the strolls on the beach, it was like having a stunning beach all to ourselves. We also met Rox at the cafe, and she was a delight to talk to. If we go back to Lombok, this is the place where we would absolutely love to go back to!

We stayed here only for one night in May, but it was great! Best place in south Lombok with a beautiful beach that's great for swimming and you can ask for beds!
We also very much enjoyed the breakfast with the view.

We loved this place. It's quite and day dreamy . Perfect place to slow down. Rooms beautifully done, sheets towels all great. We loved walking on beach, daydreaming on balcony or swimming in pool.
It's website list 3 villas but there appears to be more 5 I think plus owners house and another family villa, plus 2 in construction. It should be intimate and special but this was lacking from staff. No drinks or offers at pool which would have been lovely, breakfast great, beware set dinner at $180000 plus tax not worth it. Eat up at lunch maybe in cafe or if you have transport head to kuta. The steps to beach are fine and yes there are 100 plus but the beach club with bean bags and hammocks are great but alas they allow people from the cafe to use them and we were left without chairs or bag, this needs fixing. Water at beach would have been nice touch. Sliding doors of villa need to be locked monkeys are able to enter villa and steal chips sugar or fruit. They have a serious monkey problem that will increase if they do not address the rubbish bin that was in view of villa each morning that the monkeys knock over and eat from. At breakfast they hang around pool waiting for staff to give them left overs. A few sling shots and some fixing of rubbish bins and the monkeys would retreat back to the hill and be do much happier and healthy .
Come with supplies and snacks relax take in the view and with minor management human and animal this place is perfect

We enjoyed three nights in Villa Okep, the largest of the three villas. The villa had a large comfortable living area with three daybeds, an office area and a western kitchen, but a small oddly shaped bedroom with attached bathroom. There was a mezzanine area with single bed, but it would be way too uncomfortable to sleep up there in the roof. Everything that we needed was supplied. The verandah had amazing views of the beautiful bay. The villa is situated next to the pool and dining area. The pool is in the sun and the water like a hot bath
The included breakfast was ample, with delicious fresh juice, muesli, two yoghurts, eggs etc any which way, toast, tea, coffee. Very satisfying. We ate dinner twice and thought it below par and expensive. The glass of red wine we ordered arrived at room temperature, which in Lombok is definitely a "no-no" , it was very warm. The white wine however was well chilled.
Now there are a number of negative points to the situation here. If you don't have a car you are pretty much stuck for options to eat other than the restaurant owned by Sempiak Villas, or cook for yourself. The villas are built on a hillside facing into the blazing hot sun, so verandah blinds have to be down to keep out some heat...and also the gorgeous view. There are 100 steps down to the beach path - the website pictures, I think, are somewhat misleading. You will get a workout!
It is unfortunate that the public paths skirt both villa Okep and villa Kokoh, so privacy is compromised. We were told to park our car practically in villa Kokoh's front door (apologies to the lovely occupants).
The staff were friendly and courteous, but I did find it surprising that the owners never came down from their residence above to welcome or chat with the guests. In such a small establishment I would expect some personal communication - I have a villa that is open to guests and I am always keen to ensure that my guests are happy and being well looked after by my staff.

We stayed at Sempiak Villas as the second part of our honeymoon.
The location was stunning, and my husband said the beach the hotel is located on is one of the most beautiful he's seen in his life, and I have to agree.
Sempiak Villas is the ideal place for couples/ honeymooners as it's set in a beautiful secluded area in the south of Lombok, away from the hustle bustle of Sengiggi.
The owner Rox and her husband are both lovely and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay.
The staff are all extremely kind, helpful, polite and courteous, nothing is to much trouble for them and you can tell they genuinely enjoy working at the villas. They even made us a special cake for our honeymoon.
We look forward to staying here again!

We stayed at Villa Kokoh for 3 nights in May. The view featured in our bungalow was fantastic. It also has a kitchen and a lounge with direct view to the Selong Belanak beach. If one of you can cook and want to prepare special dish for your loved ones, you can shop in Mataram and cook it in your bungalow. Alternatively, you can just go to Laut Biru Cafe and order a set dinner. The set dinner will cost you around 22 USD per person (net of tax) and the food is very good. One of the staff told me that they always prepare fresh seafood each day bought from local fishermen. As for lunch, the price ranges between 5USD to 10 USD per meal (net of tax). My wife and I agreed that the price is reasonable and actually worth it.

The staffs under Mbak Nining and Rox are very friendly and sincere. I can see how the friendly and sincere culture are developed as the Owner, H. Faturrahman, drove us to the Laut Biru Cafe for dinner. Another example of their sincerity is when we left Sempiak Villas to another hotel in Lombok, we accidentaly left our USB flashdisk and my wife's pair of jeans. We called Mbak Nining the next day and they kept our belongings nice and tidy.

Overall, this place is very suitable to those who is planning for their honeymoon or someone who want to have a getaway from a hectic routine (like I do). Please bear in mind that once you go in, transportation to go outside is limited. Therefore, transportation arrangement is advised. But anyway, why do you have to go outside when you can be lazy and isolated from the hustle of the outside world?

First trip to Lombok and this place was perfect. We stayed in Villa Anak Kayangan, a private studio, nestled in the hills with well kept grounds and stunning panoramic views. Rosa, her husband and all staff were attentive and friendly. There are only a small number of villas which is perfect if serenity, privacy and peacefulness is what you are after.

Breakfast by the pool, with amazing views was a perfect way to start the day. The cafe/ restaurant serves good fresh food with an adequate selection to suit all tastes, serving lunch and dinner.

The beach is private save for a fishing village at one end, and the sand and water was stunning. Incredible views of surf break and surrounding landscape, this place provided an ideal short stay break.

Highly recommended for those looking for intimacy and a break from traffic madness.
