It has been over 2 years since I visited Leicester and on that occasion I was very disappointed with how the quality of service had declined.
I arrived at about 6:30 and was immediately attended to by a receptionist. i was in a hurry to get to my room as I was late for a dinner engagement. The lady was extremely polite but I was in too much of a hurry to stop and listen to her welcoming speech.
I left and returned about 1am. I thought I'd have a nightcap and while waiting for one of the bar staff to come over and attend to my order. As was the case last time, I never did get a nightcap.
Having been a Marriott customer since 1988 and a one time Platinum member, it is sad to see British franchise holders falling short on the quality of service one expects from this hotel chain.
It doesn't take much to change things but I'd certainly start with a new catering manager
I have to say the rooms are immaculate although small bath towels are a challenge.More
