This hotel is situated a little distance from the city of Leicester in an Industrial area, very close to M1 and other major roads. Ideal for business, but equally good for leisure, having very nice and comfortable facilities. Only drawback is that there is no public transport link close by, so it's a taxi or a drive in and park if you want to use the facilities of the city, which has great shopping.
The hotel is very modern, with a large atrium for the public area near to reception. Nice arrangement of seating and tables here with free wifi, and the area is very spacious and airy. The bar/coffee is served by a good team who are professional and courteous, and discreet. A menu is available, food being served for most of the day at a reasonable cost. A smile would have been nice from the Reception staff, but at least they were efficient and mostly friendly. The bedroom was lovely, having been checked in to a double/double and my nights sleep was possibly the best I have ever had in a hotel. A very comfortable bed, perfect pillows, the exact room temperature and absolutely no noise from any other guest. Breakfast was marvellous, everything you could want or need, and the service here was good, the staff happy and welcoming. I love a Marriott breakfast, and particularly enjoyed this one having has a fabulous nights sleep. I would be very happy to stay here should the occasion arise again, despite it being 5 miles from the city centre.

This is a modern hotel located on a business Park close to the motorway but 4 or 5 miles from the centre of Leicester. The staff had no knowledge of any public transport and suggested that we drive or take a taxi. The taxi costs £10 or £12 into the city centre. My advice is to get an agreed price as one taxidriver tried to overcharge us considerably.
The Antrim bar can get very full and it can be difficult to get a seat. No other bar was open and the executive lounge only serves soft drinks and tea or coffee on Friday and Saturday. The leisure facilities are very good and car parking is plentiful. The staff are all very pleasant particularly the porter / concierge.

An ideal hotel to stay in for a business trip. The staff are all extremely polite and courteous and the rooms are clean and tidy. The bath is rather narrow, but this is hardly a negative.

The only negative was that I struggled to find something really healthy on the menu and wasn't too enamoured with the continental breakfast, although this may be because I opted to have breakfast in my room rather than using the restaurant.

Overall a very positive experience and I will use this hotel again.

We travelled as a family of four and stayed overnight in a double-double room. The room was lovely and spacious, clean with large fluffy bath towels. The staff were all friendly, efficient & helpful and they really made us and our children welcome. Pool and changing rooms were clean and the pool water was warm. Breakfast was excellent - everything you could wish for and more. Top quality food. Didn't have dinner there so can't comment. In my opinion the Leicester Marriott is a genuine 4 star hotel and I would have no hesitation in returning.

Stayed for one night with husband, son and two granddaughters. We had two connecting rooms, one king and one double-double, both were a good size as were the bathrooms, they were very clean and comfortable and had the required fridge ( granddaughter has food allergies and we need to travel with her own foods). Every single member of staff from reception, bar, swimming pool were excellent, very helpful and professional. Parking was £2.50 for the day and there are plenty of spaces right outside the entrance. Would have liked a magnifying mirror in the bathroom though.

We stayed 1 night and it was well worth it. I have had business meetings here but never stayed the night or eaten in the restaurant.
Location - Perfect just off M1

Parking - Lots but expensive

Reception and Service - Great! Professional, polite and fast

Room - clean and welcoming.

We recommend for a short stay.

We went to the Marriott for lunch one afternoon as it is close to where i work. Big mistake!! Only had an hour to spare so we thought we would have a hot drink and some bar snacks. As soon as we got there, we asked the waiter how quick the food would arrive and he said bar snacks arrive pretty quickly. I specifically asked him how long nachos would take, as I was thinking of ordering it, and he advised 10 minutes. There are also times displayed on the menu, so you have an idea of how long you will be waiting for your food for.

The lobby area was completely full so we could not sit there. We were therefore seated in the formal dining area. You would expect the waiter to come and get your drink order a few minutes after you are seated, but we were waiting at least 10 minutes before the waiter came, despite trying to get his attention! Ordered two portions of nachos at the same time. 20 minutes gone - we were still waiting. Asked the waiter and he said he just put our order in!!!! Im sure the waiter could clearly see we were in a hurry from the beginning!

The nachos arrived 12 minutes before we had to leave!! We asked for a doggie bag and we were told they did not allow guests to take hot food outside. Completely unacceptable. I will not scoff my food down in 12 minutes and then pay for it! So after speaking to the manager. we were given sandwich boxes to put our nachos in!!! What a joke!

Will not be going there again!!!
