“Beautiful place:)”

Definitely recommend it. It's beautiful and totally worth going. The sand on the beach is hot white and super soft. The staff there is super helpful and friendly.
If you are camping make sure you clean up your food and garbage, because of the bears.
PS: Our campsite "neighbors" had a bear visit them while having supper because of the garbage laying around. :O But staff and cops and all were there right a ways taking care of that.

Great Price, Great Place, Great Staff.

“Peaceful spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014

This is a gem of a park. Worth the hour drive from Winnipeg. If you go on a warm day expect crowds on the beach. The beach is a wonderful place to just spend time. The white sand beach, surrounding sand dunes and waves from the lake make for a relaxing place to be. The park also contains trails for biking and hiking.

“Nothing like it between the coasts of Canada”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2014

AMAZING beach with soft, hot, white sand, no rocks in the water on the beach, great water temp on a hot day, you will absolutely not find another beach in north america like this one unless you are at a resort. Good food around to purchase too. Boardwalk there to take a stroll on and buy souvenirs, beach wear, jewellery etc. Volleyball nets around and beautiful hotter than heck sand dunes behind it to explore. Arrive early as there could potentially be over 30,000 people on the beach on a hot weekend. Bring a few dollars to get into the park as the beach is in a provincial park and you need to pay to get in unless you have a annual pass for Manitoba provincial parks. Camping, restaurants also in the vicinity too as well as a waterslide park just outside the east gate. IF you are around Winnipeg in the summer this is an absolute must see. Well worth the 1 hour drive from the airport in Winnipeg

“The Best Beach !!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

This beach is 1 hour north of Winnipeg and in my opinion is a must see from late June to the end of August and don't forget Your swim suit ! There are some restaurants a mile from the beach (you'll see them on your way in). There is the West beach that is a more happening beach and where most go for a day trip from Winnipeg. The East beach is quieter and close to the Grand beach park's camp ground . You will find the vendor in the back entrance of Grand Sands hotel , good food there too.
