“Very unique experience”

Great service! Very intimate setting - I suggest the garden seating area if weather permits!
The food is fabulous - no bi-products/fillers/chemicals! You absolutely get what you pay for here.

“Great place to relax and eat”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

This is actually my second time and it was just as good as I remembered. I had the pork ribs and they are the juiciest ribs ever! I just love sitting out in the patio with the little creek flowing by, it is picturesque!! And there are so many pies, don't go without trying the butter tarts, they will have you addicted. Love this place!! Highly recommend it!

“Great Place - Good Food”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

I selected this place for dinner based on reviews on Trip Advisor.

We made reservations in advance...and upon arrival, we were led to our table with the Reservations sign on it (note: It was raining so sigh - could not eat in the amazing garden area). The restaurant is so cute and the different wood chairs, sculptures, etc. are fun to see. The only thing that seemed out of place was a picture of Monterey, Calfiornia in the corner of the restaurant (i.e. are we so close to home - we are from California so it made us smile).

I had lamb for dinner - oh my ....so good, so moist, so wonderful - just right.
Sides were excellent.
Lots and lots of food - so yep, had to take some home for brunch the next day.

We did take a short tour of the outside area (smoke house an Tee-Pee).

Service was friendly and nice...

and yes, we did save a little room for dessert.

HIghly recommend this wonderful delightful restaurant....and when we are back in the area would definitely return.

“Great Place For Lunch”
Reviewed 18 October 2013

What a great little place for one to have lunch or a cup or coffee or tea with a slice of one of the home made pies. We've been here several times and enjoyed each stop we've made. Their pies are to die for. A little pricey but well worth it. The furniture in the place is made from twigs for local trees and gives the place an ambiance that won't quit. The owners and help are all very friendly and will sit and talk with you if they have time. The only way you will find this place is if you are going to the Penetanguishene area of Ontario, Canada, if any of you out there even know where Penetang (as it is referred to by the locals) is. It is a quiet little town up on one of the inlets to the Georgian Bay and just beautiful any time of the year, but especially so in the fall. Mad Michael's is only open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so if you come by Monday through Wednesday, you're out of luck. They smoke their own meats.

This is a very unique and surprising dining experience. Don't let your initial reaction through you off. The food is very good and plentiful, the service is exemplary. Worth the experience,
