The place has been renovated to offer all modern amenities of a private hotel while maintaining the authentic character of a Saxon residence. The hosts are incredibly hospitable and can provide very useful tips for other activities in the area, including excellent places to eat and see. We spent 6 days there with our two kids (4 and 7) and they had a total blast. Coming from Toronto, it was incredible for them to witness activities that simply do not exist here in Canada any more. I certainly would not hesitate to go there again soon.

We spent a long weekend there together with our 2 years old daugther and we felt great. It is one of the most peaceful places we have ever been to. The village is excelently preserved- it feels like a trip back in time while enjoying all modern comfort at Viscri 125.
The rooms are cosy and renovated with excelent taste. Food is cooked using home grown ingredients ( there is aview to the garden from the restaurant terace) and it tastes great. There is a playground arranged and green grass yard sorrounded so safe place for children to run arround.

Excellent guest!
Family friendly for real! We were 3 families with 5 children from 2 to 7 and it was fantastic for them to play in the back garden and near by us in the front garden.
Nice and educative activities for children.
Fantastic food, cooked by traditional recipes AND with home grown ingredients! Great taste! Local drinks and wine!
The room is with all utilities and the service is super!
The surroundings and landscape is fantastic! We've been doing hiking and running around the area!

We stayed at 125 Viscri for 2 days in August 2011 and what a joy these days and nights have been!
The preferred space was the converted barn , full of light and flavour of wood warm in the sunshine and dried herbs for tea and also its terrace overlooking an orchard vibrant with green and the sounds of a small stream meters away. To add to the relaxation and good feeling, silence alternates with crickets and birds and wind in the woods nearby.

There are options to play games and watch TV but we chose not to.

The best marks go to the food- simple but so fresh and tasty and to the good white wine available. Also there is simplicity but comfort and good taste in the choice for decoration and all objects around.

After seeing a few other fortified churches on the way there, the one in Viscri- 5 minutes away from the house is remarkably well preserved and interesting to see.

125 Viscri is recently opened and I hope it stays as it is now for a long time.

This is the type of pension that I've been looking for years in Romania. Unfortunately there are still to few of these type of places in this magnificant country. The owners have put their heart and soul into the place and it shows. The pension is located in one of the old village houses and completely renovated in the traditional style of the house. Even the furniture is traditional and locally sourced. The pension serves excellent meals which you eat on the beautiful patio looking out on the beautiful garden in the back of the house. This is a place were you can really come to a rest and an excellent place from where you can discover central Transilvania with its beautiful historic towns, villages and landscape.

This is a beautiful relaxed hotel in a beautiful relaxed village. The owners and their support are delightful, helpful and interesting. The breakfast is all you could want- the best we had in Romania- and served in pretty unbeatable surroundings. There was some envy of that garden.- why can't we grow all that? We doubt that you could do better.

Superb location near Sighisoara, perfect for a peaceful, battery recharging getaway. The entire village is beautifully preserved and the 125 house has been renovated to offer modern comfort while remaining in line with the authentic german style. The rooms are cosy, the hosts are friendly and the food is to die for! Definitely thumbs up!
