A most pleasant meal that felt seamless from a relaxing beer in the bar area through to a very tasty lunch in the restaurant. A genuinely relaxing ambiance backed up by a varied menu and excellent staff. Will be back!

I'd agree with the previous reviewer in that the Oatlands area itself can be a little tacky but it's perfect for families as there's lots of stuff to keep the kids occupied. Tides Bistro however is a gem of a place, the bar area is very well laid out with a wide choice of beers, served in chilled glasses - perfect area for a few little tapas before you go through to the restaurant. The food is first class, simple, but beautifully presented. I had the burger which comes in a brioche bun with deep fried onion rings - it looked and tasted delicious. My wife had the chicken caesar salad. Again very tasty. A lovely place, staff are great - give it a try !

We stopped at Oatlands Village as it boasted a craft shop and discount jewellery etc. and were very disappointed - the place is tacky and not worthy of a visit unless you want to have a very pleasant meal in the Tides Bistro.

The service was excellent and the sandwiches were ordered were made with the freshest of bread and tasty fillings.

The 'tea for two' came in a large pot with sufficient to keep even the thirstiest of visitors going for a good while.

Highly recommended.
