Three of us (adults) enjoyed lunch at the Tides Bistro Cafe. The ambiance and setting were great and the staff were very friendly. We ordered three sandwiches, served with chips and salad. Unfortunately 30 minutes later, we were still waiting. We were told that they were 'very busy'. We were left wondering how they'd cope in the high summer! When it did arrive the food was very tasty and was good value for money.

4 of us went Saturday night to experience the opening of Friday and Saturday evenings. Menu a little limited but started with charcoterie meats and pickles this was lovely with plenty of meat and pickles bread and butter.the other person had tempura vegetables and she said it was delicious and a big portion. Main course was lamb cutlets and these were huge and plenty, nicely cooked. Others had steak, gnocchi, all lovely. The waitress was lovely but she got a bit confused over our order but hey that was nothing. Desserts were pricey £6.75 but most of them contained alcohol, we didn't try them as we were full. Wine wasn't badly priced. The place is light and airy, we could all talk comfortabley
over the music in background, they left us alone to eat and chat only coming up once to see if
everything was alright. All in all a good experience and would go back again if the evenings
were a success!

We went to Oatlands primarily on the grounds that there would be fun activities for the kids. It is a bit tacky there but the kids did indeed have fun on the trampolines and mini-golf.
We forewent the soft-play cafe for the much more attractive Tides Bistro, which was light and airy with a feeling of sophistication. In fact it felt a little out of place at Oatlands!

A great place to have either morning coffee, a light snack, full lunch or afternoon tea. If the weather is good there is also outside seating. A varied menu includes sandwiches, roast salmon with thermidor sauce and noodle bowls. The service was very good, the food and presentation were excellent, so we will definitely be back. Unfortunately the only evenings they are open are Friday and Saturday, so you can only eat during the daytime for the rest of the week.
