We have been visiting Point Sands for about 14 years, camping as a family, the appeal for us is that it is not a lively holiday park, there is no nightclub, there is no big furry mascot wandering around, there is no bingo, it was somewhere we can go a few times a year and our children got to ride their bikes safely, play on the beach, paddle and swim on a safe beach, have wonderful adventures in the woods, use their imagination, toast marshmallows at a campfire on the beach as a family watching the best sunsets we have seen, then watch the stars on a sky that look close enough to pluck out the sky.
We have seen seals, deer, herons, frogs and bats on site. We have always found the other Campers and static caravan owners to be friendly and there is very much a family atmosphere.
The toilets are dated, but are adequate, play park for kids and great food from the Cara Cafe, well stocked shop and very friendly staff and owners.
On site staff to make sure everything is as it should be and dogs on leads rule is adhered to and reinforced by staff.
Views from site are stunning, it is not a Holiday Park for those who need cabaret and on tap entertainment.
Looking forward to visiting this site for many more years.
