Just back from a weekend break at Wood Farm Barns. The expectation was high after reading all the great reviews, and we have to say it certainly delivered and lived up to the reviews. Arrived and Carl showed us round. The welcome breakfast basket was superb and Ben loved his treat as well!! The barn was really toasty despite the cold outside. The woodburner added to the ambiance. Can only say good things about this place, and lazing in the hot tub while it was frosty is an amazing experience!!!
We will have to return and will find a slot somewhere to do so. This place is certainly special.

This was our second visit to Woodfarm Barns, last year we stayed in the Granary Barn for our honeymoon. This time we were looking for a weekend away to get out of London and give our sea loving Springer the chance to let off some steam along the many beautiful beaches in Suffolk.
Luckily there was some last minute availability and we booked into Stour Barn. Slightly smaller but just as stunning, the beautiful and comfortable Stour Barn did not disappoint. It offered luxury for us while also being completely dog friendly - knowing that the garden is secure makes for a much more relaxing holiday when you have an escape artist dog.
Carl, as before, was the perfect welcoming host and made time to chat to us and show us around the barn. My husband and Harry then made themselves at home and tucked into the breakfast basket early (Friday evening) as according to them the bacon / bonios are legendary. The cookies didn't last long either!
We took advantage of some of Carl's tips from the Woodfarm Barns blog and visited a few new places including dog friendly pub The Crown in Stowupland and spent a couple of lovely, relaxing evenings in the barn watching a film from the extensive collection in 'The Shed' while Harry slept in front of the log fire.
We are already planning our next trip, this time with our parents.

we have just had the most wonderful, peaceful, relaxing, weekend ever! Carl ensured that everything was just perfect. we had everything a day more, we needed. the hot tub was an added bonus too! we shall definitely be returning. our 3 Bichons enjoyed their stay and long walks too! cannot recommend this highly enough.
What a lovely way to see in the New Year, staying at Woodfarm Barns. From the lovely welcome of breakfast basket to the cottage decorated for Christmas we couldn't have asked for more. And at last a properly enclosed garden for our dog (so many places say the garden is secure when it isn't). I fell in love with the Barn, the bedroom is particularly lovely, and it was very warm and cosy even in wet and windy weather.

This was our second stay at the totally fantastic Woodfarm Barns. We loved it so much the first time we thought we would go back. Carl is always so welcoming & nothing is to much trouble for him to make sure your stay is the best. There is everything there you need for your stay & more. The breakfast hampers are such a lovely touch. The barns interiors are done so well & very comfortable. One of the best things for me & my husband is that you can take your dogs, each barn has an enclosed garden which is perfect & the dogs love it ! Woodfarm Barns is in a perfect situation, it's up a quiet lane with loads a great walks on your doorstep. If you fancy a day out there is so many places to visit within a half hour drive. So many places are dog friendly, so you can have some great R&R with your dogs included. The information provided by Carl on places to visit, dog friendly pubs etc is by far the best of any place we have stayed. We can't wait to go back soon !

We really enjoy staying at these barns as they are cosy and warm and have many walks on the doorstep. Alternatively, you can venture no where and relax. The fact we can take our dog, although he is an escapist really is a fundamental part of choosing to come here.

We recently spent another 4 nights away at Woodfarm Barns and once again we were not disappointed!
We received a lovely warm welcome from Carl who kindly showed us around the barn as we had not previously stayed in this barn, once again a delightful hamper awaited us which included delicious local produce and a much appreciated dog biscuit for Florence.
Having fallen in love with Woodfarm Barns last April, this stay had a lot to live up to, particularly in the dark winter months where the sunshine of April had been replaced with good old Blighty showers! I needn't have worried as the Barn was beautifully toasty throughout our stay thanks to underfloor heating, sadly no need to use the beautiful wood burner! An added bonus to this stay was the the hot tub in our garden, a wonderful and well thought out addition to the barn with it's beautifully lit covered extension which allowed us to use the hot tub whatever the weather! We thoroughly enjoyed seeing in the new year in the hot tub with candles lit, sipping champagne and planning our next visit.
All this and we were able to bring out four legged baby Florence who also enjoyed her little break.
Thanks Carl and we wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2016!
