Just wonderful - everything was in perfect, as-new condition and scrupulously clean. I can't imagine nicer or more accommodating owners either.

The weather may not have been the greatest, but I suppose that the rain just made the log burner and comfy sofa even more comfy!

Will definitely be coming back some time, well worth the price.

We stayed for a week at Dildre, a cute and cosy cottage with a breath taking view.

This place exceeded our expectations in all aspects. The location was more beautiful than we could have imagined. Moreover, it was more tranquil than we could have hoped. It was just an ideal destination to escape from a busy city.

The accommodation is located on a hilltop, when we arrived and got out of the car we had the most incredible panorama in front of our eyes.
The top of the hill provides a great view of the surrounding area; fields and mountains. Incredible scenery at a sundown and sunset.

The accommodation was spotless clean, just immaculate. We found there all we needed to enjoy the holidays and have a great base for our excursions.

Hospitality of Cecilia and David made us feel truly welcomed. They were also a great source of information; they recommended us best places to visit and eat in the area.
We will definitely visit this place again.

Having just spent 4 nights at Dildre Cottages, we rented Field View located behind the owners property, we can only enthuse at the wonderful views, clean modern accommodation and friendly hospitality offered by David and Cecilia French. The accommodation is wonderfully appointed and pristinely clean and spacious. The properties were built with love and care by David and the walls are adorned by Cecilia's own artwork and she is clearly very talented. They should be very proud of what they have achieved here.

If we had one criticism it would be the mattress which we found very hard, and would recommend the owners buy a mattress topper for those who prefer a softer mattress. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay, and found it to be a good base from which to explore the Brecon Beacons and area.

The property is located down a rough track until you reach a railway track with two gates, which you must cross before entering the owner's land. There are only four slow trains which pass each day, and we never saw a train during our stay. Once on the French's land, you climb a steep rough track to the properties. This is quite bumpy and could be a problem for the nervous driver or if you are overly precious about your car. Take it slowly and carefully and this shouldn't be an issue.

That said, I would recommend the cottages to anyone wanting tranquillity with a sense of seclusion. The hosts and their two dogs are welcoming and charming, and we enjoyed meeting them over drinks upon our arrival.

What a beautiful place - Such a great spot to get away from busy life.

Lovely welcoming hosts with incredible accommodation.

The hosts recommended a superb beach area called Llanstefan, which also had an amazing castle that you could fully explore.

Tenby is well worth a visit as well as the countless walks on the Brecon Beacons. Brecon itself is a lovely place.
