Wallsend is an amazing place to stay in, with a great owner. Totally enjoyed the stay and would gladly return! Breakfasts were very good, and house is very pretty. Oh, must not forget the great dogs!!

Stayed here at the start of our walking holiday and found it to be wonderful. The owner was very professional yet friendly and the house was gorgeous. Beautiful gardens and wonderful location. The room was clean and had everything you'd need. Would stay again!

Everything was perfect! Best breakfast ever, beautiful rooms. Out favourite B and B along the wall. The children were overjoyed by the quantities if hot chocolate and biscuits in the room and the lavish collection of bath luxuries were a lovely surprise and much appreciated after a long day of walking. Our host was very friendly and we all fell in love with her lovely cats and dogs.

What was there not to love about this place? We stayed here for our last night during our walk along Hadrian's Wall. The welcome was lovely - we thoroughly enjoyed our tea and home-made cakes; our room which overlooked the back garden was fabulous - large, clean and very comfortable; lovely ensuite too. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. It was interesting to watch the bird cctv in the dining room and I loved seeing all the animals too. This place is both relaxing and delightful.

We stayed here for our last night on the hadrians wall walk. A very welcoming guest house, tastefully decorated, rooms were lovely and comfy . Breakfast was delicious with lots of options to choose from, we also enjoyed the bird cctv in the breakfast room. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer

Provided that you're OK with pets - 3 characterful dogs, 3 cats, 1 tortoise, and 52 rescued chickens (not in the house!) - then this B&B has just about everything you'd need. It's an interesting old vicarage in a very large, attractive (developing) garden. We had a really warm and friendly welcome, with homemade cakes and tea, were shown to a spotless and comfortable ensuite room, and the owners, Lyn and Andy, were always around for a chat, or to give helpful advice about the beautiful Solway coast area, and also good places to visit for dinner. Breakfasts had loads of fresh fruit and cereals, and the cooked breakfast was delicious, with eggs from the garden hens, and other local produce. Tea and cakes are offered for free during the days of your stay. My wife needs a gluten free diet, and Lyn had gone out of her way to provide gf cereals and bread, and there was even a fruit loaf for tea. All in all, an excellent, comfortable, friendly and value for money place to stay.

A lovely place to stay. Warm welcome from Lynn and her dogs and our dog Chester was made extremely welcome. Comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast, good evening meal at the pub down the road and a great place to stay. We'd definitely stay again if we are up that way.
