Had a weeks break between 17th and 24th Dec.Had a great time. The room was excellent a little date but when you get a lounge,2x twin bedrooms both with bathrooms and a terrace balcony you can live with that :-).Food was ok a bit repetative but you woudn`t starve. As for breakfast,do the continental one in the bottom restaurant after10:30,none of the morning madness in the other and much the same food,no oushing or shoving and you can sit in peace in the sun or the shade looking out to the water, great start to a morning nice and chilled. The sun beds.yeah they are tight together in the bottom pool but the top pool is fine and the sun is on all the beds by 12.The drink, some say its watered down, well they must be drinking Tenants Super back home cause we found it good and the mojito`s were lovely, the staff at the bars were great an always had a smile as were the staff in the restaurants. The evening entertainment in the lobby bar was different to say the least but it made us laugh if nothing else.If you can get room C836 and you cant go wrong ,quiet and the sun on the terrace balcony all day.All in all we had a great chilled week,a hoilday is what you make of it an we really enjoyed our week stay.

Room Tip: If you can get room C836 and you won`t go wrong

Restaurant is like a canteen. Stood and queued for food that was very much the same and luke warm or cold. Hundreds of sun beds crammed in. Kids running up and down corridors from about 7am. Nowhere for any peace and quiet. Do not go if you haven't got any children. The entertainment area is huge and impersonal. The only good things were the drinks and the staff.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the banana grove with sea view which was quieter

this was a lovely hotel with great food n drink, excellant staff n a good hard working entertainment team.do not listen to the bad reviews.yes some of the furniture in the room could do with up dating and yes it is a little crowded round the pool,if minor things like this bother you don't go!if your expecting world class food and lots of different options evrey day,pay extra n go to a 5*+.you get what you pay for and for what you pay for this is a very good hotel.the drink is good n lager certainly isn't watered down 5.5% actually strong!they serve champagne and you can take a bottle back to your room.on the 3rd night i banged my face on a wall after tripping over, had to go to hospital for stitches.on our return the staff were very helpfull, couldnt do enough for me and my wife.if you love your footy like myself the hotel does show live premiership games, but only 1, 3pm kick of so if your team is'nt playing there's britannia bar ran by a very funny stoke fan called lee(top man) and mick his bar man.night time entertainment is o.k when it's done by the entertainment team, they do there best god love them, there over worked and under paid.we didnt see every 9.30 show though.1 night there was an out side african team that came in and they were very good!this was an enjoyable holiday and would go back.

I stayed with my hubby at ClubHotel Riu Buena Vista between the 26th Nov and the 1st Dec. On arrival we was greeted by reception who took our cases and passports to get room arranged ad asked us to grab some lunch before we checked in for our all inclusive hol

Room

We stayed in room 438a which was facing the bottom pool and we had a fantastic view of the both the pool and the sea. The room itself was quite big with two toilets one with a shower and a bath and a living room with a camp bed and a room with a double bed, The balcony was very big and had a table and chairs and a sun lounger. The safe box and air con was free. The TV was poor quality and very grainy with not much English TV but we didn't come away to watch TV apart from my hubby watching a match on a Spanish channel while I got ready for the evening

Food

The food was fantastic with plenty of choice and I must recommend you try the themed evenings which you book at reception the day before we did the Italian and Canarian and both were very tasty.

Drinks

Not watered down let me tell you we got pretty merry lol. the frozen cocktails were yummy , you can get a few drinks at the bar at once so no limits like some hotels

Entertainment

The entertainment in the day was ok and the entertainment team tried really hard getting people involved,at night though the entertainment teams activity was in a dark dungeon while upstairs they played an organ or piano while people waltzed so not my cup of tea, would have been better if it was all upstairs and mixed and outside entertainment would be even better. So the evenings could get quite boring with people playing cards or playing with their phones. This I think needs improvement and for this reason I wouldn't go back as there isnt much outside the hotel either a couple small bars with no music and a handful shops

People

The majority of people staying at the hotel are foreigners and not many English people but the staff themselves are very friendly and make you laugh, The entertainment team try to do the best they can

Kids

The hotel does a lot for kids with kiddies club teddy bear parades and kiddies disco but we came as a couple but what we saw seemed quite good and they entertainment team worked hard with the kids

This hotel is great for the elderly and couples with kids who are not to bothered about entertainment for adults
