“Fantastic place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 December 2013

We have stayed here for 3 nights. This place is truly wonderful. Excellent food and the owners and staff are extremely friendly. It was extra special with the log fire and they have a "snug room" with another fire. The decor is truly stunning. I would Definately recommend staying here you won't be disappointed. Carmen Bezzina

a perfect stop off on our way to visit family and It will not be our last , great location and the view from our window across the river was fantastic, The food was excellent evening and breakfast ; most of the "big" name hotels should put their staff in for as stay to learn how its done, still a work in progress i believe for the owners but still great. Thank you

Room Tip: room 5 a wonderful view

Lovely place. Clean bright and fashionable. Excellent food and service. Stayed at Bulls Head up the road for 2 nights, which was absolutely dire, so checked out and moved to The Swan instead. Wish I had spent my whole 5 nights here instead. Would recommend to anyone.

Took my daughter to this pub for lunch and we had the '3 courses for £10' deal - it was really super. Delicious food: she had soup (a bit average) really fantastic penne, I had courgette fritters and fishcakes and we both had white chocolate and vanilla rice pudding..ummm. It felt like great value for lovely food. The pub has been done up well with a relaxed but reassuringly business-like feel. Good service.

Have driven past the Swan many times and only once called in many years ago whenI was photographing a wedding reception.Called in today and I was amazed by what I saw and the ambiance of the place.Very spacious but with lots of cozy nooks.Ideal for those who want a relaxing meal and drink without the music and chatter of more modern establishments.Furnishings blended in well, not looking as they had been placed there willy nilly,to channel in as many diners as possible.
Very wide choice of beers and ciders available. The menu offerered a very wide choice of meals. My 3-course lunch was divine garlic mushrooms, roast beef, and sticky toffee pudding all for a tenner.
Service was friendly,calm,warm,and polite.
Will certainly be returning, and will be recommending to family and friends,

What a little gem of a place .... Food amazing ..We had a small school reunion and had the best time ever.. we all stayed overnight [having sampled the wines enthusiastically ] Evening meal was beautiful and generous .. sticky toffee pud.... Mmmmm ... Staff were so helpful and polite .. Liam and Justin came out to introduce themselves to us [The owners].. Rooms comfy clean and spacious .. Then down to a hearty breakfast in the morning over looking the beautiful views of the river and countryside .. We will be returning to The Swan ...We will also be telling all our friends to visit this little country Inn..! its a must if you love good food, good service,GREAT wine and great views.. Many thanks to the boys see you soon ..

Room Tip: Sit back and relax .... Eat drink and be merry ..

I stayed here for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Yes the bedrooms could do with sprucing up a bit, but nothing was too much trouble, all the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was gorgeous - this was proved by the restaurant being full each evening I was there. The breakfasts were absolutely gorgeous too. I would definately stay there again. Service is always on the top of my list when it comes to staying or eating anywhere and if you've got good service, then nothing else really matters.
