We visited as a foursome, for a friends birthday lunch...we booked the conservatory section of this large restaurant, which is bright, light and airy. There is an American Diner feel to the place, complimented by a large old fashioned juke box pumping out 60's style hits. The restaurant is clean and sparkling and the rest-rooms were spotless (always a good sign).
The food was served promptly, good portions and piping hot. The chips were very tasty from a good quality "white" potato. The fish was fresh and white coloured with light batter. The mushy peas were of a good consistency, we had onion rings as a side which were excellent. The meal comes with complimentary bread & butter. The bill was very, very reasonable.
This is a very good venue and well worth a visit...There are other choices on the menus, such as chicken, steak pies, sausage etc...Go on ,give it a try and get stuck in and enjoy!
