I have just returned from 5 nights staying in this spotless and charming small hotel. The bathroom was wonderful and my room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. When we left at 6am they made us a wonderful breakfast before we departed.

After a friend's recommendation we recently stayed at this charming 7-room cave hotel in the tiny village Cavusin, the very heart of Cappadocia. We had a fabulous time and would absolutely recommend this place for its genuine hospitality. The hotel has a perfect location offering wonderful views of the surrounding valleys and fairy chimneys and the rooms are comfortable, authentically decorated and spotlessly clean. Staying in a cave hotel is definitely one of the highlights when you're visiting Cappadocia.

Canela Cave is managed directly by the owner (Yarkin) and his team who are incredibly welcoming and go out of their way to make you feel at home. They are available even at the craziest hours for wake up calls and a cup of coffee at 4am before taking off to the balloon ride... It almost felt like staying with friends, sharing a Turkish tea or a glass of local wine while chatting with them and the other guests on the terrace in the afternoons.

The breakfast prepared by Chef Arif was delicious with lots of fresh fruits, local specialities and the best Turkish 'menemen' (eggs) we ever tasted!

They were always around to give us great recommendations on where to go and what to visit and were very helpful in assisting us with all travel related arrangements. The highlight was definitely the hot air balloon flight they had organized for us with Royal Balloons - a truly unforgettable experience. Tip: the owner is also an excellent tour guide, so you can arrange your excursions directly through/with him.

We loved staying here and would definitely return if back in the area!

only 7 rooms set in the tiny village of cavusin which is quiet and quaint once the tourist buses have cleared off for the day! we were pleased to be here rather than amid the crowds of goreme. A lovely hotel with spotlessly clean rooms, staff that are incredibly welcoming and cant do enough for you. they rush round and tea and coffee gets produced if you sit still more than a few seconds! they love to sit and chat and plied us with treats of yoghurt with honey, turkish delight and home made wine as well as sharing the turkish water pipe! we stayed 4 nights whilst on a riding holiday, hot shower was appreciated after 6hrs in the saddle and there was a heated towel rail to dry wet clothes in the bathroom. it offered early morning wakeup as it is situated directly opposite the mosque so expect a deafening call to prayer with the dog singing in tune at 4.30am. and dont expect to go back to sleep as you get a birds eye view of all the hot air balloons going over with the woosh of the burners! still it feels very authentic and the breakfasts were lovely with lots of home made bits and fresh fruit. we felt we offended them the first day as we had no room left for the eggs which we were assured were very good, so we had to save room on subsequent days! would definitely return if back in the area.
