Description: Upstairs at Kaibo is renowned as a regal and refined restaurant, where grand plantation house design meets its match in the kitchen. Lauded by locals as the islands finest restaurant, the restaurant chefs cook up a storm, whilst diners enjoy the spectacular sea view, making for the perfect island waterfront dining experience. Post indulgence at Cayman’s most extensive rum bar is worth it for any occasion. Disappear into an oversized couch in one of the many drinking nooks, order a “Smoking Gun” cocktail, and inhale an enigmatic fog from your personal rum bottle. Kick back, relax, and feel at home. You are Upstairs at Kaibo.

We had a wonderful evening at Kaibo Upstairs last week. So much so that we went back again for our last dinner on the island. The food was absolutely delicious. We recommend the grilled octopus & squid served on arugula with a simple olive oil drizzle. Also the seafood curry was outstanding as was the signature dish of grilled fish with a cashew & pistachio crust. Our maître d' was Daniel who kindly & expertly explained the extensive rum list. Ava was our server and she could not have been more professional, kind, friendly & knowledgeable. The tables on the veranda made the setting for an incredible sunset one night & a lightning storm spectacular the second night. Kaibo Upstairs is special. Thank you

We have been owners at Morritt's resort for many years - and this is our absolutely favorite place to go for a "highlight" meal/experience. Idyllic location, wonderful layout/decor, and the food is literally one of the best meals I have had in the world (which is saying something - I travel a lot). Apps, entree's, desserts - everything on the menu....amazing creativity and outstanding execution. Try the "smoking gun" in addition to your dessert selection - truly unique and memorable. Clearly upscale - a bit pricy but absolutely worth it.

We ordered the 5 course dinner paired with the wine sampler and was very pleased.
The service was excellent. The view was amazing, looking out onto the waters of Cayman Kai.
The intimate setting was perfect for an anniversary dinner. We were looking for that special place to celebrate and found it at Kaibo - Upstairs. Thank you

Everything was perfect for the evening. We loved the food and Daniel was an excellent host. We most likely wouldn't have brought the kids if we had looked into the restaurant before hand. Very romantic setting right on the beach.

We have eaten at the grill downstairs many times and have always enjoyed the peaceful location so decided to give Upstairs a try. We were very pleased! The food choices were varied and interesting and the atmosphere inviting! We decided to skip the appetizer and focus on dinner and then share a dessert and coffee. Good choice...the pork and mahimahi preparations were creative and delicious! The "port hole" was a fun and tasty drink choice and the rare rum on coconut ice was also good. We shared a white and dark choc mousse creation with cappuccino and expresso which was a perfect end to a lovely dinner.
The service was pleasant although this is not the place to go if you have any time constraints which we did not. The meal took awhile to be served and the chef sent out a cup of mint/green pea soup while we waited , at no charge..lovely gesture and unexpectedly tasty as the combination was not appealing in print to either of us initially. The staff was attentive and the chef made several trips around to be sure all was well and even changed out oil lamp to keep overhead fan from blowing it out. A special relaxing evening with lovely peaceful views of Cayman Kai.
