We booked a family Sunday lunch to celebrate a birthday. Having been to the Grasmere for an 80th birthday and 60th wedding anniversary in the past few years, we were anticipating a lovely meal.
Whilst the environment is very pleasant, and the staff friendly and efficient, the meal itself was very poor. The starters were all uninspiring, and the portions were meagre. Those who chose pork or beef had one slice of meat, the red snapper was dry. On a positive note, the vegetables were nicely cooked, and in good supply.

Stayed overnight whilst bringing my son to start university in Bath, as nowhere closer was available. Checked in and taken to a room next door in the annexe. There is a foul sewage smell in the entrance porch to this section of the building, still there the next morning.
The blinds in our room were broken and one section could not be opened. There are no curtains, this makes the room feel a little cold. The built in furniture is new but provides no bedside table or lamp and the over bedhead spotlights are harsh (despite only one working). The dresser mirror is broken and cannot be adjusted. The surfaces were dusty but looked new. The lamp by the dresser cannot be moved nearer to the bed as the cable is squeezed down a gap in the back of the dresser surface which the plug cannot get through.
Were awoken at 2am by a couple arguing in the adjacent annexe room. Had we been in the main hotel, something could've been done. The shower is freezing cold and the two signs giving instructions for it say the complete opposite of each other. When my husband mentioned the shower at checkout the receptionist just laughed! The main plus point was the breakfast. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

Stayed on a Friday evening after attending a 50th wedding anniversary lunch also at this hotel.

The hotel is very clean and our room was very comfortable. Unique items offered such as a cafetiere for a delicious freshly brewed cup of coffee in the morning. Bathroom was spotless and lovely big towels.

The food was also great. Our lunch was lovely and really made a special occasion even better. I would recommend breakfast in the morning too as it is freshly cooked and as I am not a fan of the buffet style breakfast it really left a lasting impression.

All staff were happy to help and couldn't do more for you.

Overall this is a little gem in the middle of Bristol and Bath that is reasonably priced compared prices I found for staying in the city centres.

Room Tip: Perfect for any trips to Bath or Bristol for those who don't want to pay for overpriced rooms in...

Booked into this lovely hotel at very short notice, when previous arrangements fell through, to attend family wedding in the area. Only had a twin room left,, but as we were only there for the night, that was fine. The receptionist (Charlotte, I think) was very friendly and helpful, we even were able to give her some advice on our local area which she said she would be visiting soon.

Our room was just at the top of the stairs, overlooking the small garden. The room was immaculate, with ample supplies of complimentary toiletries, tea & coffee making facilities, as well as a cafeteria and sachet of ground coffee. The beds were comfortable and the rooms at a comfortable temperature.

Breakfast in the morning had a choice of cereals, grapefruit, prunes or mixed fruit, juices and your choice from the hot food menu. We had the full English, which was freshly cooked and delicious.

This is a lovely small hotel/ B & B, ideally situated for visits to Keynsham or Bath

Nice food , nicely cooked although 1 small dish of veg not enough for 3 people we had to ask for an extra one. There was a burnt oil taste on the bread rolls which tasted the same as the roast potatoes . Seated in a really nice part of the dining room by the patio so nice and bright ,over all a nice lunch .
Steer clear of soft drinks, pint of lime & soda cost £4.15 absolutely extortionate although alcohol reasonably priced

We found our stay at the Grasmere Court Hotel very disappointing. On arrival, we were shown to our hotel room which was in an adjacent building rather than in the main hotel. The room was in no way of a 4* standard as advertised on the hotel's website; very basic although it was clean. The location was incredibly noisy as it is right on the main road between Bristol and Bath and our room did not have double glazing meaning the traffic noise was very loud. At approximately 10.30pm, a couple downstairs started to have a very loud, drunken argument which then led to very loud music being played (so loud the whole floor of our room was vibrating and it sounded like we were playing the music in our room!) until 2am even though they were asked to turn the music down. At this point, the gentleman from downstairs started banging on every available window and door and shrieking at the top of his voice. We did not get any sleep until about 2.30/3am. Having had a lie in the next morning, we realised we had missed breakfast as, at the weekend, breakfast is only served from 8.30 til 9.30am. When we complained to hotel staff about the situation, we were told that there was nothing they could do about the noise as the rooms below ours were in fact privately owned and therefore nothing to do with the hotel. There is absolutely no mention of this adjacent building on the hotel's website and we felt like we had been completely miss-sold this hotel. It was not anything close to what we were expecting. We ended up leaving this hotel and arranging alternative accommodation for the rest of our visit to Bath. We were very disappointed and would not recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main hotel building and one that is not front facing!
