We visited this chateau one evening when we wanted something quick to see that was close to Blois. This is not the most impressive chateau and whilst some of the rooms have been restored it all feels a little disappointing after the splendor of some of the other sites of the Loire region. The gardens are pretty but nothing special. There are some nice varieties of chickens to see but only very few in a tiny chicken run. The chateau also has some sheep but they had been put indoors for the night by the time we visited.
They offered to allow us to use our tickets the following day as we had arrived late. We felt that we had really seen all that there was on offer and didn't want to spend another day of our short break there.
