What a delightful find. We visited Yarpole and were amazed at the old fashioned community spirit and the lovely feel of the church and village shop therein. Everyone was very helpful and friendly which together with high quality stock made it a very successful visit and we will be returning soon.

“An award winning community venture.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 February 2012

The ancient church with its detached bell tower now houses a cafe, well stocked shop and post office as well as remaining a place of worship.

The cafe is only open in the mornings but is a good place to meet friends. There are often freshly baked cakes or scones. Shop and PO have longer opening hours.

The sensitive and tasteful way that the building has been converted is an excellent example of the way a church can be made into useful building for the local community and visitors to this beautiful rural area.
