Needed somewhere for a half way meet with family just off the A34, so went to the Fox and Hounds based on previous Trip Advisor reviews. What a good decision! The pub doesn't look much from the outside but don't let that put you off. Once inside we were greeted by the friendly staff and enjoyed a drink in the bar area where they had some lovely relaxed/cosy seating areas. The whole pub had a relaxed and friendly feel to it, and we made our way through to the restaurant area for our meal, although we could of stayed in the bar area to eat. We each ordered a different main course and we were all pleased with our choices. The food was freshly cooked and was served hot and there was plenty of food on each of our plates, all good quality food. The chunky chips are the chunkiest I've ever seen and were delicious! Sticky toffee pudding with such a good amount of toffee sauce was so scrummy. 2 rounds of soft drinks, 4 main meals and four desserts all for £88, such good value too. I can't wait for another half way meet with family to go to the Fox and Hounds again, in fact when we're next visiting family on the South Coast and we're driving back on the A34 I think we'll be popping into the Fox and Hounds for our evening meal before carrying on home.
