“Lovely cottage in an ideal location”

Delighted to have found Two Hoots - wouldn't stay anywhere else on a future visit to this part of Wales. The cottage is lovely: light, spacious, comfortable and with tasteful decor. Also very well equipped. The location is excellent: on a very quiet lane, yet not far from the main road, and an easy walk along the quiet lane to the nearest beach. For a walker (such as myself) it's an ideal base for walking the south Pembrokeshire Coast Path, easily accomplished (using the local trains and buses) during a week's stay. Owners most responsive and helpful (in email exchanges). A pleasure to stay here, thank you.

The house is well funished with everything you need for a stress free relaxing holiday. Whilst modern inside Two Hoots is still full of character with a cosy homely feel. Set just off of the main road between Pembroke and Tenby in the pretty and quite Hodgeston you are in the perfect location to explore the beautiful coastline and countyside of Pembrokeshire. We will definitely be going back.

“Beautiful cottage in perfect location.”

Two Hoots Cottage did not disappoint in any way. From the moment we arrived in Hodgeston, a very pretty hamlet, we had smiles on our faces. The lane was very quiet apart from the odd cluck from the chickens opposite :0). It felt like you were miles from anywhere but the cottage is ideally situated to explore the beaches and countryside of Pembrokeshire.

The beach at Freshwater East is a 20 min walk away down the country lane. Although it is a bit of a climb down, it is definitely worth it.

A 'must' is a visit to the National Trust beach at Barafundle Bay, a 5 mile drive and then a 10 min walk across the headland. An absolute 'jewel'.

Two Hoots is a gem, spacious and spotlessly clean. We would very much like to return in the future and is somewhere we will definitely be recommending to our famly and friends. The only disappointment is that we weren't there long enough!

I would recommend this cottage to everyone! The cottage is set in a very quiet hamlet but is very near to a beautiful beach (Freshwater East) and perfectly positioned between Pembroke and Tenby.
We travelled with 4 children aged 2,4,5,and 7. We felt the cottage was very safe and we were able to relax as there was a wall running around the property so they could not escape!
The cottage was very clean and well equipped and there was nothing that we couldn't find. It is also very spacious inside.
The local area was great. The position of the cottage meant it was possible to walk to the beach. (25 mins with little legs) There is also a pub enroute (freshwater inn) which had stunning views over the bay and offered nice lunches. We took bikes and it was very safe to ride along the numerous cycle routes. (Manorbier and back was a lovely 8 mile trip all on safe roads)
We visited Barafundle beach which was worth the walk down the cliffs! In fact there are so many beaches to chose from we were spoilt for choice.
Lots of castles nearby. We went round Carew Castle which all the children enjoyed.
Basically we loved the cottage and it's location and will definitely be returning someday!

Thankyou for submitting the first review since we took over Two Hoots cottage earlier this year. The previous owners had had excellent feedback and we will strive to keep up the same high level. We are delighted that you loved the cottage and your holiday went so well. We look forward to your return to Two Hoots at some time in the future.
Warmest Regards
Gill & Steve
