“Good spot to buy silver”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

I was expect more craft shops, but you can have a wide option to buy suvernirs, silver and the traditional valetta glass.

“Not as good as previous visit”
Reviewed 23 August 2013 via mobile

Went here in 2005, there were many craft shops located in old hangers, many crafts to browse around, went back in 2010 to find the area almost deserted, very dissapointed.

“High-end souvenir shopping”
Reviewed 24 July 2013

An old British airfield has been coverted into a crafts village. Accessible by hop-on-hop-off buses. We started with a visit to a glassware workshop (Valetta glass). We got to see how they make their glassware sovenirs. We went with our children. They were the most excited. The artisans working there loved to show off the procedures in the making of the various kinds of objects. They have a lovely shop and it is very difficult not to buy anything. They also have a seconds shop. The second workshop we visited was a silver jewellery shop. Again we got to see demonstrations. The sales team are very nice.
Just around the corner there are other sheds for leather items, pottery, linen, lacework and more. There is also a very nice little cafe.
The prices are quite reasonable and a few items are ordinary and cheap, but, overall
if you are in the mood to buy Maltese souvenirs this is the place to be.
