“Camping, zip lining, stargazing, biking & dinning - What an awesome weekend(!!)”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

We just spent two nights "camping" at LP Eco Adventures and had a fabulous time. Our tent had running water, toilet, power, a king size bed, heated blankets, a private outdoor shower and a wonderful view from the front deck. Wow! Our weekend package included the camping, two dinners, breakfast both mornings, stargazing at the observatory and zip lining. We also went biking in the area. The staff were friendly and helpful and when there was a slight glitch they worked to make it right. We talked with most of the staff and they all loved working there. It was a great weekend with lots of fun activities and memories -- HIGHLY recommended!

Room Tip: We stayed in tent #1 which had a great view and was handy to the parking lot for carrying our stuff...

i visited the long point adventure centre october 5th this year following another visit to canada and to meet up with my cousin, never done anything like this before and was a little nervous !!! guides/instructors were very professional, laid back and entertaining. soon we were racing from tree to tree with confidence knowing we were all well looked after and most of all SAFE.

Since my family is pro-camping and I believe in 5 star hotel, Glamping was our family's compromise. Beds are extremely comfortable. Surprisingly, the place is noisy. Not human neighbours, but lovelorn crickets looking for a mate in the late summer weather.

Make sure you keep insect repellant handy and ear plugs for the cricket. There is an occasional spider or spider web around. Breakfast is very good, with fresh homemade omelettes and French toast. Bread was superb. The whole experience was marred by pouring rain. The St. Williams' conservation area was lovely, but it is very easy to get lost. Make sure you watch the trail signs and keep looking back. Overall, a lovely break, but I still prefer my 5 star hotels;)

We just got back from the Zodiac Boat Tour Trip to the Tip and we had an awesome time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and even as local residents we learned some new facts about about the area. Would definitely recommend this trip!

Spending a night 'glamping' was truly remarkable. The 'tent' offered a king size bed with excellent bedding, duvets, electric blankets if you needed them, heater, fan, towels for showering, bistro table with two chairs as well as two muskoka chairs on the deck and there was even a fly swatter! As I write this I realize it would have been nice to have glassware of some type provided but as we brought our own, it did not matter to us. The outdoor shower was enjoyed and there was no lack of hot water. Again as I write this review I don't believe there were hand towels or a facecloth provided in the bathroom (with a vessel sink!!!, low flush toilet) but we had our own. There are trails for walking/biking on the property, a campfire area, the observatory which is used for star gazing at night and is the training area for zip lining during the day. You must bring insect repellent! The Burning Kiln Winery is across the road within walking/biking distance for sure. Our trip was a gift from our children and there was some confusion as to what was included as per 'try that.com' and the actual package but Payton(??) handled it smoothly and quickly and we were pleased with the outcome. The breakfast tent is a great place to have your 'made to order' breakfast with eggs and meet with your fellow 'glampers'. The lady in charge of breakfast during our visit was very efficient and sociable.
Our stay was booked through trythat.com and everything referred to the winery so we went there first as we thought our stay was arranged through them but they sent us across the road to check in but as the 'reception tent' was closed we wandered around (and loved it) and until we found someone at the reception tent and we were then directed to the observatory to actually check in, somewhat confusing.

Room Tip: We stayed in 'tent' 3 and it offered a king size bed.

My wife and I went Ziplining last summer, for the first time, and found the experience to be very fun and exciting. The guides were laid back and fun to be around.

When we decided to book our first kayaking tour we went to Eco Adventures and were once again very pleased with our experience. Both our guides were from the area and knew a lot about the wildlife, vegetation and history of the area. Snacks were provided during the excursion and by the end of the adventure you felt more like friends then customers.

I would recommend going to Eco Adventures/Big Creek River Tours and I am looking forward to going back again in the future.

Eco Adventures is a hidden gem in the Long Point area.

Room Tip: We didn't stay in the accommodations

Traveled as part of a group of 3 couples, enticed by the "glamping" which certainly didn't disappoint, but also amazed by the zip-lining and fantastic meal and wine at the Burning Kiln Winery. Service at the facility was first-rate, "tents" were like hotel rooms. Lovely to come back from dinner with blazing fire already going, great way to finish off a wonderful getaway day. Hot breakfast made to order the next morning. Awesome. Too bad it was only one night, we didn't have time to explore the trails or go kayacking - next time! Only small complaint was that it seemed a bit pricey for a single night, but that was just before and after, while we were there it didn't matter!
