For my 30th birthday my fiance took me to Shrewsbury as it was somewhere neither of us have been. It was simply the nicest place i have ever stopped in my life. It was immaculate, beautifully designed, luxury without being pretentious. The breakfast was out of this world with a wide selection of fruits and cereals as well as the cooked English breakfast on offer (which was beautifully cooked). The owners were really welcoming and happy to help with anything we needed. Restaurants are all really nice with again a personal feel to them. Cannot recommend this enough for anyone just looking to get away from it all. Certainly recharged my batteries. Thank you Grove farm house for a wonderful, peaceful weekend :) x

Many thanks for you lovely review of Grove Farm House Bed and Breakfast. I am so glad that you enjoyed your birthday weekend here, despite the pretty horrendous weather! I hope that we see you here at Grove Farm some other time in the future.

With kind regards,
Liz Farrow

We stayed here for one night. Liz was really flexible when we got stuck in traffic and arrived very late. The room was comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished with a very nice bathroom.
The house itself is lovely and decorated really nicely, especially the breakfast room. There were loads of options for breakfast, all home-made with locally sourced ingredients (the eggs came from chickens kept in the garden). I chose the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on a muffin, my husband had the full English breakfast - both were utterly delicious. There was even home-made granola and freshly made bread. Liz then made our day so much easier by allowing us to stay long beyond check-out time to get ready for the wedding we were heading to. Perfect start to the day.

We stayed here for 4 nights whilst exploring Shropshire & North Wales for my 40th birthday. On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly Liz who promptly showed around our chestnut suite & then left us to enjoy the excellent chocolate cake she had baked for us. We found the suite to be finished to a very high standard with all the facilities we could want. Comparing to hotels we had looked at in the area prior to booking here we thought the value for money was very good and we would definately stay here again if we revisit the area.

Came back because it's so so lovely here.
Again first rate - wonderful hostess, great breakfasts, delightful room and so tranquil.
Lots of nice pubs and restaurants around for the evening (do try the Horseshoes pub) - you are helpfully given a list of some of them in the information file in the room.
Very clean, lovely toiletries and still one of the few B&Bs you can get fresh milk in a mini flask to take to your room for the morning cuppa - so no noisy fridge humming through the night.
Bliss.
If you are in this area - do yourself a favour and stay here.

We stayed at this delightful guesthouse on a mountain biking weekend, and it was perfect. Immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, quality food - lots of home-made items, and a great hostess in Liz, who is relentlessly efficient in providing all the comforts and help one needs, so thank you Liz! Most important the bed in our room was huge, and oh so comfy! I don't think we have had such a good nights sleep in ages. Will definitely be back next year, providing there is availability!

We visited Shropshire last year and returned for three nights at Grove Farm House B&B this week to visit the RAF Museum at Cosford, Ludlow, Powys Castle, and Stokesay Castle.

Grove Farm House continues to be a first class establishment and we were delighted with the quality of accommodation, the friendliness of the owner and the brilliant breakfasts. This is the gold standard of B & B.

Needing a weekend away for a late celebration of our 35th wedding anniversary (the actual date having coincided with the second of two parental funerals in two months), we couldn't have lighted on a better location or better hospitality. A beautifully-appointed room with a glorious view, and a charming hostess. Who could ask for more?
