Me and my family visited on Thursday 7th August for a birthday meal. We were greeted warmly, ordered drinks and sat to look at the menus. A variety of interesting dishes, we were also very kindly allowed to choose things off the 'classic pub grub' menu which wasn't meant to go live until Saturday.
Three of us opted for the steak and ale pie off this menu, and one the goats cheese soufflé of the normal menu. All four meals were presented excellent, there was lots of steak in my dish and it was cooked to perfection. Four clean plates at the end. We all opted for desserts as well after being impressed by our mains, these were too very tasty.
The service was excellent, a very polite tall young gentlemen seemed to be the only front of house member on, he was very busy as the restaurant had numerous tables in, but nonetheless remained on top of everything and was very pleasant, a credit to the establishment.
I would definitely return here again and will be doing so!
