We went to the zoo de Servion on a sunny afternoon and really enjoyed the trip. The zoo is easliy accessible by bus 65 or 75 from Sallaz which is a Lausanne metro station.
The zoo is small which happens to be a good thing when ou are with children: not too much to walk as it is quite compact.
Despite its size, the zoo has a good variety of animals, with the tigers, lions and wolves as the main attraction. Although the day was hot, most of the animals looked at ease, were lively and easily visible.
A word of caution: most of the feeding is over by 15:30 although the zoo is opened much later.
Well recommended for children of all ages!
