The Hollies
Ranked #1 of 4 Guildford B&B and Inns

My husband and I chose The Hollies as a place of rest and relaxation - which it provides in abundance. The accommodation, decor and furnishings engender an atmosphere of calm serenity, however it is within easy reach of the train, direct to Perth and surrounds and has great restraunts and Continental style cafes withing walking distance. Great food and wine trails are on the doorstep as well as quirky shopping opportunities within Guildford itself.

I am ashamed to admit I am a bit of a bed-linen snob and love to climb into fine quality sheets after a hard day enjoying seeing the sights of a new destination and The Hollies excelled in providing luxury, both in the bedroom and bathroom.

Thank you Judith for a lovely stay - your hospitality was greatly appreciated - not to mention those picture perfect breakfasts delivered to our rooms!

Room Tip: All rooms are private with access to the garden.

My husband & I stayed 1 night at The Hollies when we were seeing a band at the Sandalford Winery not too far away.

The owners house & B&B cottage are classic turn of the century weatherboard cottages that have been lovingly maintained with beautful rose gardens, white picket fences, french doors and award winning grounds. Its located down a quiet street in a lovely part of Guildford that offers historical buildings, proximity to the swan river and a perfect jumping off point for the swan valley.

The B&B is a seperate cottage that offers a sitting room, sofa, table, chairs, queen bedroom, bathroom / toilet, shower, heater lamp, chest of drawers, wardrobe, aircon.. There are lovely little touches like quality toiletries, fluffy bathrobes, milk, juice, choice of teas & coffees, local maps & literature and its own outlook onto fantastic gardens and a gazebo where you can enjoy your breakfast. The owner, Judith , was a delight.

As we had booked and paid online, check-in took all of 30 seconds - just to hand us the key and enquire what time we wanted breakfast!

A continental breakfast, which was served precisely on time, consisted of muesli, yoghurt, croissant, fruit salad, juice, preseves & butter. Very filling

Yes its a little expensive at $170AUD per night but so worth it compared to what's available for $20 less

Only issue is that the suburb of guildford is in a flight path that gets busy from 6am along with some train noise.

The owners dogs -a King Charles Cocker Spaniel - are friendly and cute

Would definately recommend it and if we need to stay in the swan valley again we will return to the Hollies
