My sister and I spent a night at The Hollies last year. We absolutely enjoyed the character house and hospitality of Judith the host. She made us nice breakfast and gave us an umbrella when we left on a rainy day. We are looking forward to go back and visit again.

A unique experience with a french provincial flavour. It was so peaceful and inviting, you could forget you were in a big city! Beautiful garden and surroundings in which you really could relax. Thanks Judith- we loved it.

We had a beautiful stay at the Hollies, just pulling up the drive way made me feel peace and being English I also felt a little piece of home was right in front of us.
The gardens are really beutiful and so are the rooms. We stayed in both room and enjoyed both just as much. The Director of greetings - Homer was also a welcome visitor for us, a beautiful little King Charles Spaniel.
The decor in the rooms is lovely, good bathroom and the breakfast in the morning was really refreshing and healthy, loved it, it was a real treat.

The Hollies is as beautiful as the pictures show. We were travelling with another couple and found the Hollies a perfect B&B for us, having the two very well equipped rooms, one with a little sitting area, separate to the main house and surrounded by the beautiful gardens .It is a very private and peaceful setting to spend a quite moment after a very busy day sightseeing. We were able to sit in the garden to have afternoon drinks and breakfast and enjoyed the beautiful Spring weather. We enjoyed the simple but very satisfying breakfast of cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and a warm croissant with a selection of two very yummy preserves. The room was equipped with tea & coffee making facilities, it would have been nice to have a plunger as I don't drink instant coffee, (my only complaint). Judith the owner is only too happy to help with local information but not overwhelming. The Hollies is very central to Perth and its surrounds without being in the middle of the city. We would have loved to stay and explore the local area of Guildford, as it seems to have a lot to offer.

We stayed four nights at the Hollies, taking both rooms, which are located behind the main house. The decor is very English, set amid a well manicured garden that features a gazebo. Our stay was comfortable. What we liked was how central the place is. It's minutes by car to the Swan Valley, 15 minutes to the airport, and not much further to other Perth suburbs. The owner, Judith, was helpful in providing tips on where to eat, especially since we were desperately seeking good Asian food. Her recommendations of 'The King & I' and 'Wing Bo' were much appreciated. One key point, however, marred our stay, and that was the presence of spiders. We found them in the bathroom and bedroom. Though they weren't dangerous, we did find a red-back spider (which is supposedly lethal) building its web on the outside surface of the bedroom door. It probably posed no danger, but as a precaution, because we had a little girl with us, we killed the spider. A little pest control might be necessary to stop more arachnid from calling the place home. Also, it would have been nice if there was some variation in the breakfasts that was served. Over four days, it was pretty much the same each morning. Ham and eggs would have been nice, rather than cereal, fruit, yoghurt and juice daily. That aside, no complaints. We generally enjoyed our stay, which was made pleasant by Judith, the gracious host.

We returned to Perth for a special family gathering and were delighted to find the ultimate accommodation at "The Hollies" B&B. From the moment we entered the beautifully landscaped English front garden framed by the prettiest white early Perth residence, we knew our 5 night stay was going to be very special. Our accommodation, separate from the main house was formally the stables from the early days of the estate and it was so luxurious, private and comfortable. Judith, the owner is a perfectionist who maintains total privacy for the guests and her breakfasts which she delivered to our lodging were to die for! Our apartment was so well equipped starting with the beautifully furnished bedroom and separate sitting room complete with tea and coffee making facilities, mini refrigerator and very interesting antique furniture. A spotless bathroom completes this picture. The suburb of Guildford is so interesting and historic and just around the corner you will find interesting antique shops, quality dining and it is at the doorstep to the Swan Valley wineries. We are looking forward to returning to "The Hollies" when next we visit Perth.....thank you Judith.

The Hollies is just a beautiful and serene place to take a break. It so reminded me of an english cottage complete with a beautiful garden .If you are looking for privacy this is it. Away from the main house nesled in the back of the property. Talk about a comfy bed I just wanted to lie in and not get up.The breakfast was to die for .Fresh fruit, muesli with joghurt and warm buttery croisants with a choise of two lovely preserves. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle. I really did not want to leave as it was so cozy and warm. The cottage was clean and there is a choice of toiletries. All I can say is that I was totally impressed with everything.
