“Hot choice for winter nights”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2014

If you drive by this place in the daytime and you are not a local, you may not know what so unique about Alfred's Kitchen.

Was recommended to this place by a friend and we popped by to check it out.

there is no real sitting (tables or chairs) but you can find a bench or two by the side and the seats by the fireplace.

Many people will just buy and eat their food standing around.

A good place if you love burgers (and beef)

“Burger heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 June 2014 via mobile

Visited at 6pm on a Friday evening. Drawn by the crowd of people stood/sat around a fire pit eating Alfred's burgers, smiling and laughing. Service was a reasonable wait and food was delish. People from all walks of life eating together. We will be back!

Best burger experience for the hungry and curious. Opens late for the supper surprise. Make it point to try the CRAM to make your visit special.

“Cheap tasty burgers by the fire”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

Went here tonight for the first time after seeing some recommendations in a Perth travel book. We are fairly new to the area so don't mind the drive to try new places.

The impression of the set up is that's it's an old school football canteen, but with a great fire pit at the front. There would have been easily around 50 people waiting for their food so was a little worried about waiting time. We ordered the Alfred Special and the Hawaiian Special. First impressions of the staff were great, they were both super friendly and seemed very organised.

Surprisingly our food was ready in about 20-25 mins (we weren't really watching the clock) and was delicious. My partner was slightly disappointed with the Alfred special, but that's because he didn't read the menu properly and thought he was getting a burger, it was more like a double decker steak sandwich. I thought it was great value and really enjoyed sitting around the fire eating our burger, with so many other people around it felt like we were on a camp :-) great value and great taste!

Just a tip - this is a small business and therefore do not have Eftpos

“Iconic Perth Hamburger Joint”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

Alfred's Kitchen has been around since WW2. It one of the few (if not the only) iconic hamburger Haunts still existing in Pert. Hamburger Hill (Burswood) has gone and much earlier than that ??

Alfred's is not your posh restaurant - far from it. It opens late and you eat under the stars. Winter brings a raging fire in a pit and plenty of heat and smoke AND a pea and ham soup that is to die for.

The burgers are the traditional Aussie burger of old and made to order. You often have to wait in the throng to order and then wait for your gourmet delight to be cooked. Don't worry its worth it
