I took part in the Outlaw ironman triathlon at Nottingham on Sunday 23 July. Having had previous sleepless nights before a competition in hotels I decided to book Steve's lodge and it was great. The weather was pretty poor during the evenings so didn't have the opportunity to sit outside much. Instructions on key codes etc was excellent and we were able to get into the lodge easily on our own. My only criticism would be that as we like to cook all our own meals we found the kitchen limited for utensils, oven cooking etc but we got by. I would definitely stay again if up that way (we're from Cornwall).
I booked this lodge for two colleagues that were working in the area. They say it was really comfortable for 2-3 people and fully furnished to high standards.
Steve was always helpful and comprehensive. Even offered my colleagues to have their clothes washed as there was no wash machine inside the lodge.
Steve's lodge was an excellent find, the host was very commutative and flexible in arrival times.
It is a brand new static located in sherwood close enough for Nottingham and surrounding areas. I would recommend this place it is placed in great private grounds, it's close to one of 2 lakes and is perfectly fitted out, maybe one criticism would be to make bedroom 2 a double bed as it's quite small for an adult to stay in as a single but everything else was excellent and I would highly recommend.
We have just arrived back, reluctantly, from our short break. We enjoyed it so much that we rebooked before coming home.
The Lodge was immaculate with picturesque views from each window.
Steve, the owner, made us very welcome and included some lovely unexpected touches.
It's the perfect place to relax and unwind or if you want to venture out the city of Nottingham is a short drive offering lots to see and do.
If you want to get away for a quite break this is the place nice and relaxing , the lodge is very nice and well fitted eating places around are good , if come for fishing you won't be disappointed
Me and my partner had a lovely time would def stay here again
