“Friendliest b&q”
Reviewed 1 January 2014

This has it be the friendliest guest house.
The house itself is very quaint, full of ornaments and things to look at.
Our room which was quite large had a comfortable four poster bed. Very clean and well supplied with tea and coffee.
The breakfast was really good, a proper "Full English".
The owners are the nicest people you could wish to meet.
Will definately go back and would highly recommend anyone to stay there.
Good location for the Picturedrome.

Stayed in the Corn Loft for one night and the staff were so friendly and approachable it is a sweet little bed and breakfast. However, although the room was very clean and full of ornaments, it is obvious that it needed decorating. This was no issue as we were only staying for one night. A minor point for me, as a light sleeper, is that you hear lots of noise within the hotel due to people simply walking past your room. Apart from the lack of decorating, a lovely bed and breakfast.

Stayed here as went to a gig at the picturedrome. Room was very clean and basic. Breakfast spot on and a friendlier couple you won't find anywhere. Plenty of roadside parking and only a 20 minute walk to picturedrome

We did not stay here, but my buddy and I stopped in for a cuppa whilst on a weeklong motorcycle trip. All leathered up and sipping tea from an exquisite tea service. Two tasty big pieces of cake and the nicest motherhen you could ask for. God, I hope there will always be an England.

Not sure how to phrase this review - best summed up as quirky! Our room was a 4 poster, decorated in serious chintz and was crammed full of "things" on every flat surface! TV was not necessary as you laid on the bed and looked at all the things. Movements were "restricted" as every movement in the room and in bed was accompanied by creaking - of floor boards and bed frame. The room was spotless but a bid shabby. The breakfast was brilliant although the local sausage was below par.

A few of us got stuck - snowed in - and found ourselves at this delightful guesthouse.

The owners made us all feel very welcome. The rooms are comfortable, and warm.

Quaint and quirky, huge teapot and china collection.

Choice of either a library / piano room with real open fire, or a comfortable lounge with big screen TV.

A very pretty village - hope to get back there one day - in decent weather - to be able to explore !
