“Exceptional hospitality and superb Italian vegetarian cuisine”
Reviewed 20 June 2013

Elizabeth and Stefano are brilliant hosts and live in a spectacular environment just one hour from Rome in the Sabine Hills. They have worked hard to conserve the heritage of the land and local fare. This agritourismo is highly recommended - whether you want to laze by the pool, visit the local ruins or walk in the hills- it's all here.

Stefano and Elizabeth are the ideal hosts and their vegetarian cuisine is superb. The views of the surrounding countryside are spectacular. The walking in the area is also a delight. There is even the remains of a Roman villa, complete with olive oil processing technology. GO!

Stefano and Elizabeth have the perfect combination of cozy rooms, delicious and healthy meals, helpful advice re trails and nearby sights, as well as being situated with a stunning view of the hills. If you want to hear all about history and olives from a man who is passionate about them, Stefano is your man. Lots of lovely products to purchase that are made on their farm. The pool and lounge areas will offer another option in the warmer weather.

We stayed here as part of a walking holiday and everything was wonderful - particularly the food! Stefano was so informative and enthusiastic about his very special area of Italy and the visit to his olive groves and roman villa were one of the most memorable parts of our holiday. The scenery is breathtaking and the agriturismo is set in a beautiful, unspoilt area just perfect for walking.

We went there in june 2012. The very nice place not far from Rome. The home is nice as the mountain window views. But it's necessary to tell about the area: Amazing nature, small medieval cities and roman (!) farms. So you can see all the periods of Italian history in one place. And the people still live in medieval communes. It's like the Time machine. Strongly recommended to spend there a couple of days visiting the country!

I stayed at this very special and lovely agriturismo one week in September 2012. The place is fantastic and the host family, Stefano, Elisabeth and their lovely little daughter Maarit, are extremely kind and hospitable. The area is very beautiful and you can do interesting walking tours around a fascinating landscape. I was painting with watercolours and the place was just fantastic for that purpose. The rooms are nice, clean and quiet. The food is vegetarian and very delicious - I am not a vegetarian, but after that week I could consider to be one, with Elisabeth's wonderful food. The Roman dwelling site and wandering among the ancient olive trees of Stefano's farm makes you think about our short time here and the chain of generations.

We stayed at Le Mole sul Farfa at the end of our walking holiday. Like everybody else we loved it - the hospitality, the food and the accomodation were excellent. Stefano's enthusiasm for his valley, the villa and the olive grove is infectious and we can only wish this family every success for the future and full bookings.
