Visited here following recommendation from OH. As a 22 and 26 year old we were younger than the other customers. This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful landscape with different rooms to choose from to sit in, all very different in decor and atmosphere. We chose the conservatory as the sun was shining. The scones were lovely and the toast was to die for. Whats more, I opted for hot chocolate insead of tea and was brought a pot of delicious hot chocolate which was very lovely. Im looking forward to the next visit now :)

Had heard about the place from many different people and we decided to try it, went after a fantastic walk in the snow at Cothelstone hill. Traditional Surrondings, the tea room is very oldy woldy, we ate in the tea room rather than the conservatory as so cold. Had poached eggs followed by 2 scones, poached eggs were the very best, totally amazing. You must have them! Word of warning go for one scone not 2 as I felt very sick.

Definitely worth a visit though, 5 stars

You must visit, even if you are not in the area! Pleasant drive through beautiful grounds. Plenty of parking. Even opened the door for us. Wood burner going, rain lashing down....cream tea served in conservatory, with fantastic views...when the rain stopped. Great atmosphere winter or summer. Clean, friendly, good service with a smile, reasonably priced. Short, but so good a menu, just what a cream tea place should be.

We have now stopped here on several occasions. So if you want the best in cream teas, with the best location with an exquisite garden and superb views of the Quantocks and adjacent hills, then this is the place to be. Afternoon teas are served from about 2pm, inside the cottage, in the garden or you can sit in the conservatory, either way you will get the best of the views. The staff are very polite and helpful, the cream teas are just to die for! Look for the little sign on the A358 Triscombe. (Between Taunton and Williton)

We were just randomly in the area when we saw a sign for ‘Cream tea this way’ and decided to stop in for a look. I am so glad we did. They are without a doubt the nicest cream team I’ve ever had and place itself was beautiful. The gardens are gorgeous and view from the dinning area across the Quantock Hills is utterly stunning.

Above all, the reception we received was wonderful, warm and welcoming. Do not pass this place by, in fact make a point of driving out of your way for this place and I promise you will not be disappointed.

It’s just a shame I live so far away.
