The staff are lovely, the room beautifully clean and adequate for an overnight stay. The only problem, despite what Lenny Henry says, the bed was so hard it was like sleeping on a board and you only have a choice of a quilt or nothing and on warm night a light cover would have been welcome.

A warm welcome and very kind greetings on our wedding anniversary made our stay here special. Nice room, bathroom almost ready for refurbishment to be carried out soon, lovely view over fields. Trains and traffic slightly noticeable with an open window, but no problem,. Linen very clean and fresh. Huge bed. Will come again. Lots of places to eat locally - spoilt for choice.

Room Tip: This hotel, so conveniently placed on the A6, might be noisy if you have a room on the side nearest...

Easy access to Lancaster and preston, not far from M6 Junction. Usual Premier welcome and friendly staff. Comfy spacious room. This Motel is perhaps a little smaller than some and quietly set back off the road (A6) behind the pub. Sat nav will not necessarily take you far enough in the village- I discovered the village hall first!

Beautiful location. Reasonable price. The staff in the hotel and the restaurant were professional, friendly and put you at ease. Food is reasonably priced. They offer jigsaws and coloring books to entertain the smaller children whilst waiting for meals (athough the wait was not long at all).

This hotel is standard for a premier inn but there are a couple of things to improve upon - a)carpet in the room could be hoovered a bit better and b) we got there quite late on a bank holiday (9.30pm) and asked if there was a shop open locally to get some refreshments. We were only told about the village shop which they expected to be closed - which it was. So we drove down the road (heading north) and found a petrol station with a spar open until 10 pm. This was literally about 2 miles down the road - we found it by chance and were surprised and disappointed that the hotel didnt seem to know about it or that they werent more helpful. We think that a hotel reception should really know about local shops and petrol stations.

Stayed here one night en route to Scotland and it was a friendly oasis after a terrible journey from South Wales. The girl on reception was efficient, very helpful, friendly and empathised - I was a tired and stressed mum on my own with my young son. Breakfast was a good experience too - good food, lots of choice. Staff at this hotel and the location made it an excellent choice.
