I was looking for somewhere local as I was due to be based at Capenhurst for a couple of days. I prefer to stay in local B&B's instead of hotels and this choice of B&B proved this a good choice yet again. The quality of service in terms of a warm welcome, good breakfast, comfy bed and decent shower are all at the top of my list; I was not disappointed. Jon and Elaine are great hosts and I think will be very busy with the B&B in the not too distant future!

stayed here on the 10th like another reveiwer to attend a (wedding) party that was further up the road. had a very friendly welcome and was shown our room. Room was really clean with a kingsize bed and a very comfortable mattress (so comfy we need a new bed and mattress at home now !!!) the bathroom was a good size and complimentary shower gel and shampoo the view out the bedroom window of the grazing area and chickens was delightful. Elaine the owner brought us up a cup of tea and much needed biscuits when we arrived and Herself and John served up a welcome hangover breakfast with eggs from their chickens. Elaine even gave me a lift to to the wedding party so i could leave the car at the farm. these are the things that made me so glad that we didnt book into a travelodge or similar. well done John and Elaine we really enjoyed our stay

We stayed one night to attend a party nearby. The smallholding has a lovely outlook onto countryside, but is also is conveniently located on a main road into Chester as well as close to the nearby motorway junction. Jon and Elaine were very welcoming and fitted in with our requests for check-in and -out times as well as a late breakfast! Well-appointed room with large ensuite bathroom.

There was a good selection of breakfast fare, and we also got the tour of the farm, making the acquaintance of chickens, cattle, sheep and horse. Would have no hesitation recommending to anyone visiting Chester and surrounding area.

Had a great time and a great visit. The owners were both nice and very helpful and the farm was a delight to look around. The room was big enough with an en-suite and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good with quality free range products very prominent. I would recommend staying here to anyone I knew who was visiting the area. I would say that they could do with putting more photos on the internet though as the ones I saw before we arrived did not do the place (or the animals!) any justice!

The rooms are very spacious and the bed was very comfortable, i believe they were memory foams mattresses. the bedroom had a lovely on-suit bathroom with bath and shower, with everything provided for you. Breakfast was lovely and a choice of things to chose from. my overall experiance was very good.
