It is an okay option for those who need to stay near the Impact convention centre.
The hotel has an Egyptian theme and a nice breakfast for locals.
Most of the staff does not speak English at all but the two receptionists helped me by translating and communicating with taxi drivers.
If you plan to visit tourist sites in Bangkok it is best to stay in the city centre as this hotel is very far (after crossing many toll gates) and many taxi drivers do not know the way.
the closest metro station is also far so you will need to take a taxi first and then a metro to get into town. big waste of time and money.
There are few taxis in the area but they don't speak English as this is not the usual tourist area, not many nice restaurants nearby so we ordered room service mostly
but the food is not thai fusion and not suitable for foreign tourists as its very soupy. the locals seem to be enjoying it though.
*no kettle in rooms for tea/ coffee
room service doesn't always understand your order as they don't speak English
asking for anything extra or different from the menu is a struggle
but it was an interesting experience as we saw a more genuine 'thai' culture / food
away from the city/ tourist areas.
