We spent 3 nights at Dreamcatchers B&B in April 2012. We had a wonderful time with Annabel and her staff. Annabel could not have been a more gracious and helpful host - providing maps and advice, organising drivers, massages and delicious meals. Her staff were also very attentive and lovely. We ate exquisite food - Annabel's crepes were amazing and Ting's Thai green chicken curry was the best we had all trip! Although Dreamcatchers is somewhat out of town, this makes it the ideal retreat away from the hustle and noise of Chiang Mai especially with the lovely pool and surrounds. The junior suite was the most luxurious and beautiful room we have ever stayed at anywhere!

Dreamcatchers is the perfect B&B. It's a short cab ride from the centre of Chiang Mai, but its semi-rural location makes for peace. No noise, just quiet. Dreamcatchers provides each guest complete privacy--every room is a separate and beautifully decorated suite. Common areas invite lingering: breakfast is served on the terrace or in the open salla where computers are available and comfortable furniture invites lingering over an espresso. There is wi-fi throughout the complex. Then there is the stunning infinity pool and inviting cabana. Exercise or lie about and enjoy the view from the pool to the gardens. Dreamcatchers is so beautifully designed and inviting not going into the city is always a reasonable choice. It's easy to spend a day relaxing by the pool, reading on one's balcony overlooking the gardens, or chatting with others in the salla. Annabel's staff are helpful, knowledgeable and interesting and Annabel has a list of preferred cab drivers who make transport to and from the city simple. Go sight-seeing, come "home" and relax. Swim, arrange a massage, enjoy excellent food (on request, Annabel prepares meals in addition to breakfast). Savour the beautiful surroundings and find fine company. This is a PERFECT PLACE. We will return.

Room Tip: E-mail and see what is available--every room is private, quiet and charming. This is a popular spot...

After 4 and a half weeks of what seemed like non-stop travel it was heavenly to be able to finally relax for a few days at the beautiful Dream Catcher B and B outside of Chaing Mai. The staff were absolutely phenomenal; alway's there to answer any questions we had, direct us to any sightseeing landmarks or set us up for any activities around the area.
Alternatively if we chose to relax and spend a day around the pool, Annabel and Ting were
always around to share a laugh or provide us with one of many outstanding meals we had during our 5 days there.
The quality of sleep was second to none compared to anywhere else we stayed in Thailand. The grounds were clean and the value was top notch. What a wonderful way to wrap up our trip and a HUGE thanks to Annabel and her team!! We loved it and would not hesitate to reccomend this to any of our family and friends. If we didnt' live so damn far away in Canada, we'd come back every year!

Room Tip: They are all fantastic and unique!

April 2012.

All the praise you can hear from people regarding Annabel is true and more!

Some people say location is not the best. Agreed.
If you're looking to stay in a city with all the good and bad that comes with it - you might be disappointed.
However if you're into quality rest, great food, amazing rooms with personality AND typical outdoors activities in Chiang Mai (Elephant Mahout, cycling, visiting Doi Suthept ....) you will feel at home here. Everything is well organized and Annabel is simply an amazing host.

We decided to stay at Dreamcatchers based on pictures of its beautifully decorated rooms and great tripadvisor reviews, and Dreamcatchers and Annabel were everything we expected and more. I loved the atmosphere of the whole property, the rooms were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated in traditional Thai fashion, perfect for our first visit to Chiangmai. Annabel was so helpful with everything from planning our trip to arranging rides. One thing to keep in mind is that the B&B is situated about 20 minutes outside of the city, so is suitable for travelers who prefer a quiet retreat or have own transportation. I really wish we had more time to relax and enjoy this beautiful sanctuary, and we would definitely come back to Dreamcatchers next time.

Room Tip: go for the junior suite with jacuzzi!

Five moms with five 12-13 year old daughters stayed here for a one night getaway. This is my second time to do this, and once again, was not disappointed. I live in Chiang Mai, so was looking for a lovely getaway spot. Annabel was great and very accommodating to our needs. We had a fabulous time hanging out in this beautiful resort. I expect to visit again, and will recommend it to visiting family and friends.

There's only ONE negative thing about this place...but I'll save that for last...

Pros:
1. Annabel. (Owner of Dreamcatchers.) Purely amazing. It was like going to visit a lifelong friend, that is accommodating and caring. She helped us plan our trip the instant we decided to stay there. With nothing short of arranging trips, excursions, and transfer rides. She's got the newest rundown on the local happenings, and where to go. There's a million things to do in Chang Mai, and many local tour companies that do the same thing. Annabel will be able to suggest the best, most cost effective, and highest quality place.

2. The rooms were majestic. Clean and perfect, gave you a feeling like you were coming back to your own place. Everything was provided, and anything you forgot, she was able to help you with.

3. We stayed in a Suite with a Jacuzzi attached. There's nothing more relaxing after coming home after a long day out sightseeing, and being able to crawl into your outdoor spa and relax with some suds under the stars. Highly recommend it.

Con: (singular. not plural.)
The only downside of Dreamcatchers is the location. It is far from the city of Chang Mai, at least 20-30 minute ride in a cab. Doesn't seem far, but after a long night, you just want to get home. This is no way any fault of dreamcatchers or Annabel's. Just make sure you keep that in mind...

I would go back. I intend to go back. I will go back to visit Annabel because she's just purely amazing. Good luck!

Room Tip: Just ask Annabel. She will give you the best tips.
