“A great stay in a beautiful setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 January 2014 via mobile

If you stay in Dreamcatchers, do it at the beginning of your trip and not at the end. Otherwise you run the risk that you will be disappointed by the other venues. We stayed at Dreamcatchers for three days, and it was an excellent end to our three-week cycling trip through northern Thailand. A wonderful stay in a beautiful and well designed setting, excellent food, and above all, great care by Annabel and her team.

Wow, what can I say. From the moment we arrived at Dreamcatchers we were in heaven. We go to Thailand twice a year and are always looking for the next best place. Dreamcatchers was that place on our last visit to Chiang Mai. We were looking to spend a few days out of town to unwind and just relax ( I needed to get away from shopping) Annabel the owner made our visit very enjoyable. There is not much really to do when at Dreamcatchers other than to relax, take short walks or bike rides and just enjoy the countryside. You are close enough to town that if you want to can hire a car to take you to the Saturday market. Annabel has made this B&B a wonderful place to visit. The rooms are nicely appointed with a sitting area, a desk, lovely bed, refrigerator, WiFi and clean bathroom. She has library of books, games, etc if you need something to fill your time. All of the food there is wonderful, Annabel makes almost everything herself from scratch. The morning breakfast is wonderful. Annabel makes her own yogurt and muslee among other items. Breakfast and dinner are available. Dinner is a set menu that you can pick from two or three items each evening. You are on your own for lunch as she does not serve lunch. You can take a nice bike ride or walk into the village for some great local food. I could go on and on but I think you can tell we really enjoyed our stay. Next time in Thailand we will be coming back for a visit to Dreamcatchers.

We stayed at Dreamcatchers on Christmasevening on our cyclingtour around Chiang Mai. Annabel has done a great job with her B&B. Everything is perfect. So nice decorated. We stayed with another woman from The Netherlands en a American family. Annabel asked us to join the meal at Christmasevening at a special way: with a turkey. We agreed, and it was great! With a fire in the fireplace. A good glass of wine (she has really reasonable prices) and it was perfect. She had also gifts for the 3 children of the American family for Christmas.
When we come back to Chiang Mai we will visit Dreamcatchers again. Its a fantastic place!!!

We stay 4 days with 4 couples hang out, just took all the 4 rooms property as a private house, with a very good help from Annabel the owner. help for cars hire, place to go ... very nice breakfeast and ocasinal lunch. It was very nice, and we highly recommand that place. The house is at 30 minutes from the city center, but can easely find a reasonable transportation organised by Annabel. I was never a problem.

Room Tip: There is a big mini suite and 2 rooms at first floor with a terrace balconny to communicate with all...

My extended family took a 5D4N trip to Chiang Mai in late Nov 2013, and we wanted a place that is private and yet have enough rooms to accommodate all of us: 7 adults and 2 kids. When we saw Dream Catchers it was perfect! The 4 available rooms fitted our needs, and because we took all the rooms, we have the place all to ourselves. I love the decor - the pool was lovely, and there were nice places and corners to lounge and relax. Annabel is very hospitable and gave us great insights on places to go, for both the young and the old. We also took the driver she recommended for 3 full days and he is a good and reliable guy. The only slight improvement I will suggest is to have brighter lightings in the rooms for the night (with the exception of the suite which has nicely lit), and availability of a baby cot. Breakfast is good and I will recommend that you try Annabel's banana crepe :) Overall, very pleasant experience and a charming place.

Hi Lisang ...Happy New Year and thank you for taking the time to write about us..and very happy to hear you enjoyed your family holiday here. You are correct that we do have a baby cot as the ones available are mostly for babies up to 1 year which is the swinging basket with mosquito net and not suitable for a 3 year old. The Cribs rather than Baby Cots you mention are available in Bangkok at ridiculous prices and are not worth the investment due to the very very low demand we have for such cribs from our customers .
As for the lighting in the room I am not very clear on that as there are a total of 14 different lights in that room ....?? Maybe you didn't see all the switches -:))) . Warm Regards
Annabel

We stayed here for 4 nights during our honeymoon trip to Thailand and it was just what we needed. Dreamcatchers is an absolutely beautiful guesthouse, not too far from the wonderful city of Chiangmai but far enough to feel surrounded by the sights and sounds of the jungle. Annabel was a fantastic host giving us lots of advice for our trip and making us feel so at home. She even gave us a bottle of wine and lit a candle on my dessert for my birthday. The staff were wonderful too, as was the food and not forgetting our fab room with an outdoor jacuzzi. Would definitely stay here again.

Annabel's somptuous luxury residence is nicely hidden away in the outerskirts of Chiang Mai. Getting there you need someone who knows his way around, but then she has a list off gifted cabdrivers that can bring you straight to her Upon arrival, early evening, the staff was able to improvise and prepare some of the most delicous food we had in Thailand. Even the kids raved. We decided to stay 3 days and thus 3 evening meals. The local fish was astonishing. The smell ! The herbs ! Breakfast was perfect, serving everything man can imagine: pancakes, home-made cakes, yoghurt, anyway-you-want-it-eggs etc etc etc....njammy,
The wooden rooms were impeccable: big beds, cleans heets, luxury soaps and shampoos, good A/C and we had a terrifiv jaccuzi.
Annabel has a huge ground floor living room, stacked with books, family games, lazy chairs and a wine/beer bar. This is where she resides most of her time, and keeps you informed on Thailand latest news . And: where she shares the real Dreamcatcher secret.
But I won't tell you !

Room Tip: We had the room with the jacuzzi, so if you like jaccuzi......
