Description: Surrounded by woodland on the edge of Windlesham near Sunningdale Golf Course, The Brickmakers is a fine example of a traditional pub restaurant, with a large garden and ample parking. The welcoming bar area has a roaring log fire and a snug with comfy sofas, and offers a range of home-cooked light lunches, evening bar meals and local ales. The Brickmakers restaurant is housed in a bright and airy conservatory: warm and cosy in winter, and cool and colourful in summer. The restaurant has an extensive British a la carte menu, with traditional classics such as Cumberland sausage and mash with crispy fried onions, and carved roasted gammon with free range fried hen eggs and chunky chips.

“Restaurant quality at pub prices”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

The reputation of this place has been up and down over the years as have the prices. But having just been for the second time under the current owners I have to say it is quite the perfect spot. On the right is the pub with great real ale and a log fire, on the left a very smart comfortable restaurant. Warm and welcoming staff including owner/maitre d' who welcomes you like an old friend. Menu is modern British with a twist, small enough to be fresh and original, quite enough choice for all tastes including the day's fresh fish specials on a chalk board. The owner's passion for great food and happy customers is clear and it shows.

“Recommended”
Reviewed 15 November 2013

We've had a few meals here recently- mothers day, friends get together on a sunday and now a mid week lunch visit. All of the meals have been of a very high standard. The menu is accessible with something for everybody - they had a great selection of fish specials on at lunchtime - cod, sea bass, mussels. The menu is mainly British classics all done to a very high standard. The sunday lunch is great value. Mid week is busy and the atmosphere is pleasant and the service attentive, warm and genuine. This used to be a bit stuffy but now it's welcoming and caters for young and old, couples and families alike. I would recommend booking of an evening but we got a seat on a lunch although it was busier than most places I've seen recently on a mid week.

“Yummy!”

We had a family gathering here - age range from 83 to two weeks old. Very nice staff, lovely décor and the Sunday roasts were excellent. When I visit my daughter again I shall ask to return to this delightful pub.

“Great food, well worth a visit”
Reviewed 4 November 2013

We'd never been here before and booked for sunday lunch with friends. As you enter, the bar area is smart, lively, clean and pleasant. I believe a lot of money has been spent upgrading this pub/restaurant, they did a good job here
Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, and brought drinks very quickly. There is a wide choice of wines and beers, all seems well kept. We were all very happy with our meals, I had the roast pork with the usual accompaniments which I enjoyed very much, others were equally delighted with their meals; I'm told the creme brulee deserves a special mention.
Prices are reasonable, we've been to much worse places and paid lots more.
One tip: the car park is busy. If you plan to do Sunday lunch try booking an early time and arrive before the hoards. This place is rightly popular
