Owner description: Cenarth Falls is a natural beauty spot. The falls range from quiet and peaceful when the river is low, to an impressive force of nature when the river is in full flood. It is never the same. There is a Car Park at the Falls. Parking is £2.50 per car for all day parking (9am - 6pm). Please be careful near the Falls themselves as the rocks are slippery and uneven, and the water is dangerous.

Stopped off on our way to cardigan, had a walk up the river then had a picnic on one of many benches. Didn't pay the guy in the carpark, we parked the other side of the bridge opposite the pub for free, only a few parking spaces there though.

This is a nice falls but it is at its best when the salmon are jumping up the river, i have never seen it but i have heard it is quite a site to see.

What a lovely area, Lots of beautiful birds, including dippers and spotted flycatchers, red kite and buzzards, I'm told there are otters, but they are rather illusive. Plenty of parking great riverside walks.

The better part of 40 years ago we holidayed at Cenarth Falls caravan site and remembered the wonderful time we had spent there with our young family, then aged about 14, 11 and 9. Planning to visit West Wales to meet an old friend who now lives in Cardigan, we stayed in a lovely farm cottage, Ffynnon Gog i.e.Cuckoo Spring in Beulah, with a pleasant couple, Mike and Julie Cook running it, Cenarth Falls was a must to visit. We had one day of heavy rain when we went to the Welsh Wool Museum at Drefach Felindre, but the next day was fine for our visit to the Falls. All that rain made the Falls a really impressive sight in spate. The village of Cenarth Falls is well worth a visit and we had a pleasant lunch in the Hydd Gwyn-White Hart Inn.

Cenarth should be a beautiful quaint village but sadly things have gone badly awry. The sole reason for Cenarth is the river and waterfall, but simply stand on the bridge, treating the relentless traffic with care, and you will see what has gone wrong. Looking down river in the middle distance is a large and hideous wall, albeit probably to protect the house on the bank from the river in flood. Surely, with a little thought, something a little less industrial could have been designed.

Now turn and face up river. The whole foreground is dominated by the large, stone chipped car park. Come on! If this is a beauty spot why the hell was it necessary to completely dominate the scene with this huge monstrosity of a gravel mess which covers up the left hand side of the river bed and is an absolute disgrace.

So, facilities. When we were there the Post Office cum general store was up for sale and it appeared that the White Hart pub was as well. Adequate, actually the woman in the store was quite pleasant if refusing to help me post a letter as the Post Office was shut for reckoning up.

Attractions? Well there is the Water Mill and National Coracle Centre which are the subject of a separate review but in a nutshell, tired!

Cenarth is often described as a "tourist magnet". I must be a different polarity to most because it repelled me!
