“a unique and pleasurable experience”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

The 'little cafe in the woods' is a delightfully unique experience . Excellent home made cakes (light lunches are also available) pleasantly served in a wooded environment - you can eat inside and still bird watch on the feeders through the windows, or out in the garden - surrounded by birds and all things natural.
The star attraction is the wildlife - birds, mammals, which include red squirrels and harvest mice, pond dipping, and 8 acres of wild land for children and adults to explore. (There is a small fee to go round the nature reserve)
There is also an excellent shop for very good value quality bird food/feeders etc and much more of interest, plus a small but interesting wildflower nursery catering for many different habitats.
Although this location is well hidden, it is signed as the Wildflower Centre on the Bayfield Estate off the road between Letheringsett and Blakeney and should not be missed!

Love this part of the North Norfolk coast. Flat land, marshes, the sound of curlews, creeks and above all the big sky.

Unspoilt, clean and many good places to stop and enjoy the scenery and open spaces. There's some very good restaurants and cafe's.

“Away from it all....”
Reviewed 24 July 2013

Far from the madding crowd and the tiresome stress of modern life, this is a place to really unwind! A quick call turned into four relaxing hours as we decided not to bother to join the crawl of traffic to get home! The main feature is the range of unspoilt walks through 8 acres of countryside, whilst children will enjoy seeing the harvest mice and red squirrels which are bred here. The entry fee of £3 is a bargain, whilst car parking is free and the tea and cake served inside or outside the small cafe is excellent too.
