“Wonderful venue for an amazing Hen Weekend”
Reviewed 19 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

On arriving at Burrs Farm there was ample car parking space directly outside the house. The tastefully decorated house was so warm and welcoming with the log burners already lit.
The well equipped kitchen was a great space to welcome everyone, in fact we stayed in there most of the first evening & then went into the lounge which was plenty large enough for us 15 ladies - age range mid twenties to seventy. The dining room which we used for much of Saturday was lovely & cosy with adequate space for our art class & evening meal. All the bedrooms were beautifully furnished with several having en suite facilities. The remnants of the storm Abigail howled outside for much of the weekend but we were safe & warm inside.

“Amazing house, beautiful peaceful location 5 star quality”
Reviewed 7 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Truly beautiful and enormous house. Enough room to accommodate an extended family without getting in each other's way. Two separate lounges to keep young and old happy, huge kitchen dinner perfect for socialising and enjoying time together during meal preperation. Everything you could ever need is provided within the kitchen space and even a nice welcome of fresh bread, milk, butter and two jars of sweet treats. Lovely outside space even in the August drizzle!
Perfect short break and would recommend to anyone would love to go back

“Great House, Fantastic Location”

My friends and I came here for a stag weekend away, and we were all very impressed with Burrs Farm.

The house itself was very spacious, clean and well furnished, easily accommodating all 14 of us. The bedrooms were comfortable, some of which are en suite, all recently installed to a high finish. The kitchen was a notable highlight, a beautiful space with a huge agar and lots of room to hang out in, with doors opening out on to a lovely back garden.

The area surrounding the property was stunning- wonderful views of wide open green spaces, with horses in the nearby fields, and a real sense of privacy. However, the house is only a 5-10 min taxi journey away from Buxton, so is still convenient if you need to pick up supplies, or fancy a change of scenery.

The property managers, Peak Venues, were also great to deal with, answering any questions I had and generally providing a good service.

If I had any quibbles at all, it would be that the doors to the bathrooms don't appear to have any locks on them, and some of the blinds in the upstairs bedrooms don't do an especially effective job of keeping the sunlight out. Also, if there was any property which would benefit from having a hot tub, it would be this one.

However, I'd be more than happy to recommend Burrs Farm to anyone large group looking for a great week/weekend away. I'd want to go back for longer next time!

“Fantastic time had by all!”
Reviewed 30 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We had a fantastic time staying at this gorgeous cottage. The cottage has been decorated to a very high spec and is extremely well equipped. There were lovely touches on arrival, including freshly baked bread and biscuits. The cottage is in a beautiful setting and we had a lovely explore of Buxton, which is only 10 minutes away in the car. The owner was very friendly and incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend this cottage to others and hope to return again in the future.
Some people did find it difficult to find the cottage so more detailed instructions on the website might be helpful.
