Elanda is on the shores of Lake Cootharaba with plenty of space to set up camp. You can choose to set up camp either along the water's edge, amongst the paperbarks or on the many cleared areas ..... It is up to you as there are no allocated sites! This makes it a great place for large groups of family and friends who want to share the camping experience. We have been camping here twice a year for many many years and have appreciated the safe family environment maintained by the management. We go for the peaceful and relaxing environment, the water sports and access to the upper Noosa river. Park rules around noise and behaviour are very strict and hugely appreciated and are really only there for people who need rules. There are lots of things for the kids to do with the rock wall and giant swing recently added. Amenities are basic with flushing toilets and ample hot showers so what more could you ask for in a bush camp.

Seems like a lovely spot nature wise but can't say anymore as the rude manager booted us out before we even got set up. Was purely based on us looking young - so disrespectful. Strongly recommend NOT going as driving this far to only be turned around is not a pleasant experience! (Ps. They don't bookings so you get no fore warning!)

Our stay was a great experiment in showing how an owner can, A: maintain a prejudiced and intolerant attitude towards others and B: after accepting your camping fees are more than happy to have you removed just as you sit down to relax, on nothing more than his own completely misguided, narrow-mindedness of an entire generation.

Even more shocking was his inability to listen, was uncompromising and refused to even offer us a chance to prove to him we certainly didn’t fit his wayward ideas of us. Even the staff recognised the complete and utter stupidity in his thinking after talking with us and seeing our group is definitely not the kind of “young, hooligan troublemakers” the owner made us out to be (although we appreciated the ‘young’ compliment).

It is a shame because the location and park grounds seem great; it just needs a change in ownership/management so families and groups of friends can enjoy it! (Not that I would ever suggest you retire but can I suggest you retire?)

I cannot recommend more highly you DO NOT even attempt risking staying here if you remotely look under the age of 30…such a shame!

Could be a nice place. However, didn't even get to visit it as we were booted out by angry caretaker on arrival! Wife and I shocked at the rudeness and aggression, especially in front of our 2 yr old son. Won't be back!

We have been going to Elanda Point for many years, camping with a group of friends and relatives.

Elanda offers bush camping, with plenty of shaded and grassed sites on the shore of Lake Cootharaba.

If you are looking for caravan park type amenities - this is not the place for you! As I mentioned, it is bush camping (no allocated sites) that happens to have hot showers (as long as you don't go in peak times!) and flushing toilets!

It's great for families and groups.

The kids can amuse themselves all day either swimming, fishing or if energetic enough hiring a kayak or canoe. They have recently added a rock climbing wall and giant swing during the school holidays which was a hit with our children!

I know some appear to be put off by the 'rules' but as stated in the paperwork, they are "Rules for People who Need Rules"! Anyone with common sense and courtesy should cope without any problems with the 'rules'! I for one appreciate that there are some limits to noise, generators, fires and the like - just makes my camping experience that much more pleasant!

We will be back!
